Yep... but I didnt have it long... was young... ammo was expensive...and I thought I would be able to shoot it as well as a rifle... and was disappointed when I couldnt hit squat with it.
... I have another one now tho....
... and so many 500 and 460... that I dont even think of my original...
My first handgun was a Ruger Single Six. It was a gift and I no longer own it. The first handgun I ever bought was a Glock 22. I've thought about selling it but can't bring my self to do it.
Ruger MKII, bought it 1988 when I was fourteen after I had worked for an uncle building houses all summer. I can't even begin to count how many rounds it's fired. I just had it out today, and fired about 150 rounds out of it.
Beretta 96, that I bought in 1996 for $399.99. My Uncle had just been promoted to Chief of Police and one of his first actions was to make every officer carry the same gun. They went with the Beretta 96 and ordered 45 of em. As a result, Beretta let him order an additional 5 for personal use at the police price of $399.99.
I was 16 and wanted a handgun. I had shot a Sig, H&K, Glock, and a few 1911s; then I shot his Beretta and it was the best I had ever shot. So he sold one to me (technically my Dad).
Still have it, and I will never get rid of it. If I knew I had to get in a pistol fight, this is the gun I would take.
I should probably get some better grips for it though.......suggestions?
My first gun was a Sigma Series SW 40. It was two tone with stainless and olive drab, it was pretty dull and boring. I eventually got a Ruger GP100 which was a lot more fun.
