Night Stand Gun

Small table lamp, clock radio, standard flashlight, mag pen light, 1911, spare mag.

All of them reside on top of my night stand, . . . and for the most part, one could take a picture of it most any night of the week, . . . everything is in the same place it was last picture.

Just a creature of habit who likes his habitat.

But I do like those little gun rack thingys.

May God bless,
Dwight

No holster. On top of stand Collapsible stock AR 15 with 30 round mag in 2nd drawer of night stand If I need more firepower than a 1911

I un-holster my carry gun and keep it in a nightstand drawer, with spare mag and flashlight beside it.

Exactly what he said. ^^^

Except mine doesn't go in a drawer because there isn't one. It sits on top.

Mine is pretty convenient I bought a cheapy nilon holster from wally world, and use the spare mag component for a flashlight. It has no strap for me to release the gun, and the holster is straped to my headboard. It is nice because you can not see it, and it is maybe 6 inches away from my hand at any given time. In the holster is a P2000, and a maglight mini. It is ugly but you cant see it and I like it a lot better than nightstand or on top of my nightstand. One of my fears would be getting shot by my own gun and I feel a little nervous keeping it out in the open.

Mine are holstered.

Primarily because rounds are chambered and they are DA/SA.

Either the gun will have a safety, or it will be holstered. I don't want something that is just grabbed and shot. I am to slow of a sleeper, I mean it takes me some time to actually fully wake up.

No

I keep my S&W 22-4 right next to the bed on top of the nightstand.
When my granddaughter is staying over,I switch to a RIA .38 Super with a loaded mag and empty chamber inside the night table.
I also keep a Mossberg 500 persuader with 4 rounds of OO Buck in the tube(empty chamber) under the bed.
I have a cabinet next to the front door, and in a drawer on top,I keep a S&W Centennial .38+P loaded with "FBI" loads.
I'm not paranoid.I was pretty active in LE right up to when I retired and I have some serious enemies.

I had mine holstered at night, but now I keep my gun unholstered in the top drawer of the nightstand with an extra mag. My flashlight sits on top of the nightstand.

I have four pistols on my nitestand and three more inside of it.Also have a 357 SAA cimarron clone on the dresser, but my goto gun for home protection is my ATI'd Hi-point 995 9mm carbinem it's within arms length of my bed.The reason being is that I can fire it indoors and retain my hearing, both my NAA's are louder than either my Taurus 24/7 Pro Ds or my Kel-tec P11. The Cimarron sits on my dresser. and most of you know the sharp crack of a 357, either indoors or out. Here is a group photo, not included are a dual cylinder Heritage 22/22m, a Davis 22m derringer and a JenningsJ-22 bought at a flea market.THey were so excited...:D

I keep a Sig 226 in .40 S&W in a push button locked box bolted to the side of my bed (have grand kids around) and the first round is a blue glaser, second is a silver glaser, third is a magsafe, and then 2 hydro shocks, then 2 black talons, and the rest are corbon solids. Figure in a place where the most distance is only 15 feet, the first three on hairless creatures would be okay, and then it would have to get serious.

No holster, but ...

My bedside gun (S&W 36, with 3" barrel and CT laser grips) is kept in an old fanny pack next to my side of the bed, along with 2 flashlights.

My nightstand gun is not my carry gun. And my nightstand gun is NOT holstered. It sits on a face towel on my nightstand while I sleep and gets moved to and sits in the drawer underneath it when I wake up.

Well I learned the folly of my ways and began leaving the gun out unholstered. It's not really a problem as I live with my GF who know her way around a gun.

+1 crimsondave! Haven't seen or looked for a holster for a 12GA riot gun. Handguns are for CCW, things that go bump in the night require serious equipment.
Hotel nightstands are a different story. Toting long guns into most hotels, even motels, attracts unwanted attention. A nightsight equipped .45 and a small, bright flashlight make me feel at home almost anywhere. Red Carpet Inn somewhere near OKC many years ago is a noteable exception but is definitely off-topic!
