New members - please introduce yourselves here

Hi everyone. I was down at the hotel, having a cold one. One of the fellas at the bar told me about this great site. Looking foreword to talking guns with all you good people. Thanks for having me.

Good Afternoon From The Gun Dude

Afternoon y'all. It's colder than...well, lets suffice to say it is cold here in Virginia this morning.

I am new to the forum and figured it would be good to introduce myself.

I recently left my job at the Pentagon to start my own company in Northern Virginia. I believe strongly in the 2nd Amendment and felt the need to help others join the shooting sport as well as help those already firmly entrenched receive their firearms easily and at a good price. That said we offer the most cost effective transfer in Northern Virginia at $20 as well as shipping services. I have even successfully sold firearms into Washington, D.C.! A feat that made me no money when you account for the hours of research to figure out what is actually legal there. But I digress... We also offer The First Time Gun Buyer's Service, to help those who are new to guns enter the industry more easily and safely.

My LinkedIn profile is by far the most comprehensive account of what and where I have been if you are that interested. Here's the abridged version: before this I was a Counterintelligence Agent and Physical Security Specialist with The Pentagon Force Protection Agency from 2009-2013. I served in the US Navy as a Corpsman from January 2002 to January 2007 with a reasonably uneventful deployment in 2006 to Kuwait. I spent 10 years as a Paramedic working in Pittsburgh, PA and various cities in California. I graduated from The University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in Psychology and Premed and went on to obtain an MBA from American Military University.

At the heart of it all is my family. My wife Christine and our two dogs Hank and Charlotte...maybe kids soon? Who knows. For fun I like to camp, spend time on the beach, and build.... be it a house, a company, a website. I like to create and watch my creations grow. I grew up in Bradford, PA but I think we are headed back to Santa Cruz, CA. While I detest California's gun laws and other aspects of their politics...I fell in love with the coast and the Sierra Nevada...I have never been in such pristine country and love spending time in the back country.

I look forward to participating in this forum and hope that I can contribute meaningfully to the conversation.

Feel free to check out our website at www.TheGunDude.com, look me up on Facebook or fire me a message if there is anything I can do for you.

Hello everyone

I registered last week but I haven't introduce myself yet, my name is Bailey Colbert and I'm from California. I am a gun enthusiast I got it from my dad a retired naval officer. I'm so looking forward to read your stories and hope I can share mine as well.

New member from Pennsylvania. Mostly accumulating Walthers and especially guns manufactured prior to World War II. I now find myself embarking on a quest to try to obtain all the major polizeipistole used by the West Germans. My overall collection includes Mauser, Ortgies, Walther, Astra, Ruger, S&W, and SIG Sauer. I'm also a fan of lever-action long guns, Winchester and Marlin.

I belong to a number of other brand specific forms, but believe I will also benefit from the variety that's found here. Looking forward to spending time learning, and hopefully making some small contributions to the discussion.

Hello from AZ

Hi from Phoenix, AZ. Just joined yesterday, but I've been lurking for at least a couple years now. I found this site very useful for research before a new gun purchase, and finally decided to make it official and join up. Thx in advance for all the help, and maybe we'll see some of you at the range.

Hello Firing Liners:
I'm a Michigander that grew up to be a outdoors man. Shooting, hunting and fishing and all that goes with it. I have been loading since the 1970s on and off. My favorite rounds are 222 Rem. 22 K Hornet to load. My hunting loads would be many but 358 Win. is my Mich. Deer round. I avoid the magnums for Michigan because I don't have the need for punishment. I really like to shoot aspirin at 100 Yds. Especially baby aspirin with my 222. For me long range is 200 to 500 Yds. since that's the best I can find here in my state. I hunt most all game on the ground and in the air. I love to learn more about shooting and I think this is a good place to continue to develop it as well as share what I have learned.

No Body Important

Hi, I am not important but at times I fool myself and think I am. I like shooting, hunting, fishing, and traveling. I do not post much as I am too busy with the rat race and enjoying my free time. To many guns, too little time. Yeah it sucks when you have rifles you have yet to break in. I like to dredge up old posts because I have no idea why one would not if it is interesting.;) Many people are only occasional visitors like yours truly and appreciate search engine results pointing to sites like this. See you in a while.

Good Day from the Lucky Country!

I thought I'd introduce myself by getting a few squirrel tails shaking!
It's what we call ourselves here, and no disrespect intended to any other place on this fair planet.
So right you are, I'm in Australia, I'm a horse rancher, and I don't mind a shoot.
Doubtless I'll see some of my other internet cohorts roaming these fair "The Firing Line" paddocks.(pastures).
I'm partial to rimfires, haven't done much formal target work, but love to plink and hunt.
Had a few lurks on your forum and it seems pretty solid to me. So I thought I'd kick in.
Thanks for having me.
See you round like a rissole!(large meatball)

Greetings

New member

Hi All,
I am a new member and looking forward to the exchanges. I have a lot to learn.
In the process of purchasing the new CZ 557 carbine in 270. This is my
First rifle purchase . My last rifle was a Remington 22 pump action that my father gave me at 11-12 yrs. old some 45 yrs. ago

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum (obviously), but not to all kinds and types of firearms. I'm an Army veteran and patriot.

Been shooting for many, many years, an avid collector, firearms enthusiast and all-around good guy.

My sense of humor is off-beat and warped. Too many years in LE I suppose. Sometimes, I find humor when others have told me there was none to begin with.

I guess it's more or less a matter of perspective. ;)
