The Walking Dead

Sorry, not trying to overload your thread with replies. This is actually a television series but I know for a fact it is available instantly on Netflix. Lot's of guns going bang and at crazed zombies which is double the fun. The main character uses a Colt Python and mentions it by name.

+1
I once watched a behind the scenes of this show, and the guy doing the behind the scenes tour, asked the actor if he could see the Python. The actor pulled it out of his holster and checked the cylinder before handing it to him! I felt like such a dork saying that to people, but I know you guys will get it.

Also, has anyone seen Act of Valor? I thought it was great! Great gun scenes! Worth buying on Blu-Ray!

Single Six

PT-92: Oh, yes, I saw it! "Public Enemies" actually came a lot closer to the facts than the 1973 film I mentioned earlier. In fact, I highly recommend the book of the same title, upon which the recent Depp film was based; it is a great read, and detailed out the wazoo. Still, do check out the Warren Oates movie I mentioned...it does have some elements of historical truth to it, and like I said before, it's still a great gun flick.

Single Six,

I plan on it--I have placed it on my list.

I just finished watching "The American" with George Clooney and it features (big-time) a Ruger Mini-14--He plays an assassin who also has a mission to smuggle in and customize the rifle (in Italy) as well as a suppressor of which self-constructs. There are other weapons such as PPK's and Berettas 92's but if you are a fan of the Mini-14 it's a must-see.

-Cheers

Not neccesarily focued on the guns so much, but a pretty humbling war documentary was "Restrepo." It kind of shows how a young group of guys can be survive mentally and physically the nastier of conditions in Afghanistan.

if you liked restrepo, definately check out the book

"War," by Sebastian Junger

truly interesting, both humbling and fascinating. I loved every bit of it.

Ahh, I read it before I watched the movie. Very good read. Even though the movie had the action to watch, I think I preferred the book.
