mouse guns, whose got one?

I have a couple of the more notorious ones, because, well, everyone loves a miniature.

AMT .380 Backup. The build quality is nice and is actually pretty reliable after finding the right combination of replacement springs. Gotta keep the firing pin bone dry. It hurts to shoot, so I guess I'm not all that big and tough.

A Bryco Jennings .22LR. Also pretty reliable and better than a pocket knife if dragged out to an onion field. As G. Gordon Liddy would say, "Headshots!"

Raven .25, bought in 1981 after being robbed working in a gas station. I think I paid $60, which was a lot of money for a college student at the time. I still carry it on occasion when the .38 snubby is just too big and heavy, and i don't want to be without.

I just bought a Taurus PT22PLY a week ago. Haven’t shot it yet, but I have a feeling I’m going to like it. It fits real well in my hand. At around 14 ounces loaded, I think it will make a nice summer time carry pistol.

I have a Taurus tip-up 22 just for grins. I got it used for around $125 or something and it works well. I can carry it around in places where I might feel like plinking if I don't feel like wearing a holster that day. It is handy and fun.

I also have a Beretta Tomcat 32. I paid something like $319 for it used. It malfunctioned the first day. When I got it home I discovered that the previous owner knew nothing about cleaning guns. It works fine now. I like the thick grip and tip-up barrel. I thought my wife and daughter would like it, but they both prefer the PP clone in 32.

It gets hot in Texas in the summer, so I end up carrying my Kel-Tec P3AT 380 a lot. I bought it brand-new a few years back... paid $225 or so. It has yet to malfunction and it is so small and light that I barely notice that I'm carrying it. I would prefer one of my snubbies, but I can regularly put the whole Kel-Tec magazine into a paper plate from 20 feet, so I feel comfortable about using it if needed. It is not pretty and not fun to shoot (with my giant hands), but it is my favorite mouse gun I have ever owned due to its caliber and convenient size.

My first mousegun was an Iver Johnson TP.22, which looked like a scaled down PPK. Then I had an NAA mini .22 until I realized I couldn't hit anything with it. I carried a PSP .25 for awhile. It was an FN licensed copy of the Baby Browning. The LCP that replaced it is actually lighter and more powerful.

You won't be disappointed with the little plastic Bull mouse gun. Lots of fun to shoot, surprisingly accurate for it's size, and it shoots very similar to my Elsie Pea which makes for a lot of cheaper practice than my 380cap carry rounds.

My first mousegun was an Iver Johnson TP.22,
Picked one of those up at a gun show a couple months ago. Haven't had a chance to give it a try, but it looks, and feels like it will be a fun addition to my growing mouse stable.

Speaking of growing, I don't know if I will be getting up to my Northern Missouri huntin' grounds before it sells, but my little shop of horrors (for my bank account) has a Walther TPH on their website. I've heard great things about these little Walther rimfires, and if it is still there I probably won't be able to resist.:D

Three of them, my only handguns:
Sauer 38H, WW2 Mauser Hsc, Sig 232.

Many guys want to create the impression that these guns won't seriously injure anything much larger than a mouse.

wow, a lot of big guns that some consider mouses....:D

i have a LWS32, but I've been interested in a Beretta 950BS .25 acp for some time...... the baby Browning as well.... there just something about a gun small enough to fit in a shirt breast pocket.... like a mouse.

I have a lightweight Browning .25, A Bauer .25, Beretta 950 in .25 & .22 short, Beretta 21, Beretta 3032, Naa .22 short mini revolvers, Llamas in .22 short and .25, Bernardellis in .25 and .22 short and long, Astra Cub, NAA Guardian .32, Keltec p32s, Keltec P3ATs, Galesi .25, and a bunch of other little guns. I don't consider the PF9-sized guns pocket guns. My "always carry" is a Keltec P32.

Mouse isn't in reference to power, but rather size which your three choices are at the very upper limit, if not over.:D
Something in the 12 ounce, and under range, not 1 1/2 pounds!

I usually carry a larger caliber CCW but as a back up or backup to my backup I carry a Walther TPH and or LCP and occasionally my NAA 22MAG. They are small but I sure as heck would not want to get shot with one!

I carry a .380ACP when I can't dress to conceal my normal carry gun. Sort of on the top end of the mouse gun class, I guess.

. Sort of on the top end of the mouse gun class, I guess.
Not really. It mostly depends on the gun. A P3AT, or LCP would be a 380 well within the mouse gun size. An LC380 on the other hand would be getting somewhat larger than a mouse.

My favorite carry pistols are the Sig P 238 or P938 because of their size, familiar controls and reliability. I have in my collection a couple of the most beautiful 6.35 mm you will see, Star CO's. These little gems are all milled steel with exposed hammers and just love to go "bang?!!! Add to that a bunch of Star DK's (same size and caliber as the Sig 238) HK .22lr and slightly bigger S series pistols in .32 or .380. I am not wanting in CC size pistols.

I have not had this much hated gem long. But I have to say after slayers cheap gun slicking, the first 50 rounds ran like buttah.

I won't carry it but it will be a glove box gun. I'm pickin up my new Taurus TCP here in a few hours. I WILL carry that one, and I plan to pick up a Kel Tec P32 soon. And folks get the wrong idea by the hammer fired DA only mouse guns. When a round is chambered the hammer IS NOT cocked nor is it resting on the firing pin. The hammer is sitting in sort of a half cocked position.

Cheapshooter:
Just make sure you keep the IJ clean and it should be fine. Mine would misfire (light strikes) or jam whenever it got dirty, usually after 50 or so rounds. It may have been the ammo I was using at the time.

Used to carry a Baur .25 when I had to carry a mousegun back in the prehistoric days, but it's been a Kel-Tec P32 for the past 15 years or so.

The Bauer still makes the P32 look huge.
