Militias = White Supremacists?

While looking for information on militias, I kept getting directed to white supremacy sites, who often have links going back to the militias.

When I read some of the materials on the white supremacy sites, I was very surprised to read some of the very same opinions that are popular here:
- the threat of Mexican influx to the white race
- the government as an illegal mafia that must be opposed by patriots
- the government as controlled by a small hidden elite
- a media conspiracy to disinform the people
- random drunk driving stops as the first step towards total control by Big
Brother (who is actually controlled by the secret Zionist elite)
- a sinister New World Order superstate

... I could go on. Below are just a few representative links to White Arayan Resistance, David Duke, Arayan Nations. I find this close coincidence of ideology unlikely to be accidental. Either the Nazis and Klan just have a lot of great and remarkably similar ideas, or else there are at least a few of them on here. Nazis? Come out, come out whereever you are! Come out Nazis, and show some white pride!

Ah yes, and here is the Ku Klux Klan position paper on the need for militias, whose link is labeled "Fellow Patriots" on their main site:
http://www.kkk.bz/leadersh.htm
...you'll note that the Klan are just a nice bunch of guys too - they even have pretty rainbows and a "message of love" on the entry to their site. What kind gentlemen.

Well if the Klan is what makes up militias, they wouldn't be very effective as a military unit. They're cowards. A few years ago the Klan decided to hold a rally here. Our preparation was nothing short of astounding. Approx. 20 outside LE agencies were brought in with multiple SWAT teams, rooftop snipers, K-9 units, and 10' high chain link fence was installed in the street to keep sympathizers and opponents apart. The cost to the city was staggering. People from hundreds of miles away came, along with professional agitators on both sides. There were multiple arrests and it's a miracle there wasn't a major riot. The Klan spit out their usual garbage (with a police escort) and of course wolfed about how big, bad, and brave they are. Well, it seems that we took such good care of 'em that they decided to return the following year. Somebody FINALLY looked into it and found that we were under NO obligation to provide security for the Klan. We announced that we couldn't prevent the Klan from coming back, but neither would we be providing security in any form. When the Klan got wind of this, they canceled, and haven't been back since. ;) :D

Hate, paranoia, race bating. Seems like it all goes together for the lunatic fringe. Looks like Louis Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam have something in common with the white supremacists.

Klan Kourage

Capt: That's a funny story. :D They're not real bright, but I think even the Klan and the Nazis know they're not real popular, and keep a low profile in the general populace for this reason. Virtually all the accounts I've heard of Klan and Nazi violence has been under cover of night, with multiple Klansmen or Nazis attacking a smaller number of "mudpeople" as they call nonwhites.

As such, I don't really consider either the Nazis or the Klan a threat to the general population (of any color) - there aren't enough of them, and they prefer to hide. However, I do think they can be a real danger to individuals, and things like these bombing plots where they plant bombs and run away don't take any guts, just dark hearts and twisted minds.

The racists are what give militias a bad name. None of them have any interest other than preserving their own hides.

From DefenceJournal.com

Jonathon: You may be interested in this excerpt from an article in DefenceJournal.com - note the members of the West Virginia militia who were caught in a plot to blow up 3 federal installations... and the members of the Kansas miltia arrested for plans to attack the military base at Fort Hood, TX. Real patriots, all these militia guys, right? Real princes. :barf: :barf: :barf:

For decades Americans have seen terrorism all over the world-but not in the US. Even after the Oklahoma bombing, the American public still found it incomprehensible that Americans could perpetrate such a horror against other Americans. Even after Timothy McVeigh-s conviction, the general mood has been that terrorism is over. It was some kind of aberration.

The militia movement, however, continues to grow.

The Michigan Militia, with which Timothy McVeigh is alleged to have had connections, was formed by Norman Olson, a former US Air Force Officer. Police Against the New World Order is led by a former police officer, Jack McLamb, who was present at the Ruby Ridge incident along with James Gritz, a former Green Beret officer.

The leader of the Mountain Militia, Floyd Looker, recently stood trial in West Virginia for conspiracy to bomb three federal installations, including the FBI-s national Fingerprint records complex. Seven members of the Southern Kansas Regional Militia were arrested after their plans to attack Fort Hood in Texas came to the attention of the FBI.

Members of these ultra right-wing extremist militia do not fit the profile of the typical terrorist as Americans have seen them portrayed for decades. They are police officers, sheriffs and deputies, attorneys, doctors, and other professional and business people; even members of the US military.

A very potential dangerous group about which little is known is the Special Forces Underground (SFU), a clandestine organization within the United States military. Their existence was first discovered shortly before the Oklahoma City bombing by Klanwatch/Militia Task Force (a watchdog organization of the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama which tracks militia and hate groups) through postings on the American Patriot Fax Network.

The SFU was formed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, on August 23, 1992, and is conservatively estimated to have between 100 and 300 members; though no one can say with any accuracy how many members it really has. They are recruited almost exclusively from active duty and former military personnel with training and experience in covert operations.

They do not recruit like other militia groups. They have patience born of their training. They wait, watch, and listen. Once they identify one or two potential recruits, they move in.

Today they are centered in Kansas City, Missouri and have a quarterly publication called THE RESISTER- The Political Warfare Journal of the Special Forces Underground. In their 'Statement of Policy,- they claim: 'We do not advocate the overthrow of the US government. We do advocate resistance to government tryranny. We do not advocate the initiation of force in doing so. We do advocate appropriate force-in-kind retaliation. We advocate active resistance against the United Nations.-

Most militia operate on similar principals but their members are fairly well known to authorities. Many have their own websites with names like, LogoPlex, Sovereignty, American Patriot Network, etc., to spread their beliefs and attract recruits. These websites are also excellent intelligence sources for law enforcement.

In stark contrast, the SFU maintains a very low profile. Most members are unknown even to each other. Even their address is deliberately low profile; a 'Boxholder' P.O. Box in Kansas City.

Most militia follow traditional military lines the 'troops' at the base and echelons of command up to the leader. This makes it easy for law enforcement to destroy an entire group by arresting its leadership.

SFU has no confidence in the 'aboveground' militia groups; 'The Patriot Movement in general and militia groups in particular need to get a firm grip on the realities of resistance and underground operations.' They follow the concept of secret cells and 'leaderless resistance' proposed by Louis Beam in February, 1992, which makes it almost impossible for the group to be infiltrated. At best, only an individual cell or cells, can be infiltrated.

Beam's concept of secret cells for the Patriot Movement is nothing new, however. Cells have been the standard structure for international terrorist organizations for nearly three decades.

Here's two: things that article fails to happen:

1. It happened in 1996. To my knowledge, neither Floyd nor his friends were ever found guilty.

2.The Mountain Militia recruited members openly, via posting fliers.

As to item (2) the article doesn't say the Mountain Militia didn't use fliers, so I am not following your point. If you are talking about the secret recruiting that is discussed, they say that is done by a more sophisticated organization, Special Forces Underground.

As to item (1) ok, they weren't able to convince the jury, but I guess it was just a misunderstanding then?

Brad Glover the "brigadier general" in the "3rd Constitutional Militia" and the "3rd Continental Congress", who led the unsuccessful "assault" on Fort Hood, believing that the US Army was secretly training foreign troops there to join an invasion of the US led by - the United Nations!  was sent to prison.

And OKC, just a misunderstanding with the gubment? Oops, sorry, we killed 168 civilians when we misplaced a few tons of explosives?

I have yet to hear of a "militia" that was actually formed to serve as an internal defense unit for the preservation of the United States.

Militias are largely used as excuse for scared little men to arm themselves against their neighbors, rather than for the popular defense.

Militia building is an activity engaged in by only the most motivated of people - and that usually means hate is involved.

Oh, good. Here's one now: http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173817

William Krar, Patriot

Microbalrog: Or how about good ol' William Krar, of the New Jersey Militia, who was arrested with two pounds of cyanide, 500,000 rounds of ammunition, machine guns, more than 60 pipe bombs, remote controlled bombs disguised at suitcases, and literature that on how to make chemical weapons, along with racist and anti-government theology manuals?

This Patriot is now serving 11 years in Federal prison in TX. Also, just a misunderstood Patriot, framed by Big Brother?

Aw, that picture of High Counsel Hall ("Wulfie" to his friends) does him no justice. He was upset because somebody had pissed in his cornflakes. He's really a great guy, and this was not his best pic:

Here's a better one of Wulfie, later in the day, when he was in a better mood:

Come to think of it, that's true, I've been brainwashed by the blanket media conspiracy perpetrated by the Zionist Menace that is actually controlling this Great Nation. So, I actually believe that these patriots aren't real swell guys! I need to become more sophisticated and vigilant about rejecting these silly lies that are being fed to me by the Jews!

It's way too long to reproduce here, but here is a link to a StormFront NeoNazi, er, Patriot, theology page, that explains how a few Jews are masterminding the mind control of the entire nation, by turning all of our media outlets in a propaganda machine for the Zionist Menace that is actually controlling this country:

http://www.stormfront.org/jewish/whorules.html

.... Unfortunately, the NeoNazis aren't as efficient in their language as a proper German would be, so it takes them a long time to spew their conspiracy theory. But yes, I guess the Zionist Menace has brainwashed me too, Mike, because I don't seem to be able to recognize these groups for all the good they do.

Militia

CC;
You really seem to be a dedicated anti- semite, some what similar to the Nazis you don't like, however, the question was about militias.
I do not know what laws prevail in other states, but in Texas, all men between 18 and 60 are members of the militia, without exception.
I suppose even convicted felons would be required to provide unarmed support activities to the other wise armed members of the militia in the event of a serious emergency.
Of course, the "Official " powers do not want anyone to know this, it would interfer with the "Official" powers, powers, the principal reason they are pols and officials and we are just peons. :barf:

drinks: Actually, I am not antisemitic - when I place the link to the StormFront page, I am hoping that most people here will be smart enough to see it for what it is - why else would I put it there? ....and that they won't believe that the Jews are controlling their minds through the media, as is being suggested.

Reading mind

CC;
It is hard to read a person's mind when the person has been drinking muddy water, try a few emoticons next time.
Don

drinks: Sorry... yes, I will try to be more clear (and less sarcastic, which can be taken for seriousness)... Believe me, the last thing that I want to do is promote the Nazi ideology. My mistake. :o
