YOU reread that post again. I was refering to the hypocrisy of allowing people to break one law and then try to enforce other laws. What laws do we follow and on what days? I even said that "illegal aliens MAY think it is okay to take someone's property" The word MAY would suggest a hypothetical situation.
We are a sovreign nation with boarders. Do you mean to suggest that there should be no enforcement of our boarders? Or the immigration laws? But it is okay for us to enforce other laws? Just not immigration laws? OH. Okay. Now I see your point......er, I mean WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Are you kidding? You can not see the hypocrisy in this?
How can we as a country goto ANY illegal alien and enforce that law when we ignore the other 11-12 million people who have broken the same law?
Any racial overtones are YOURS AND YOURS ALONE. For my heart remains true to the proposition that all immigrants follow ALL of the laws....even the immigration laws. Wow! What a dream to have. Call me silly. Again, you stand corrected. But, that's okay I am getting use to correcting people who do not know how to interpret principles and values. But, most of the time they are liberals and not gun owners.

Now, to do my part in an attempt to save this thread and put it back on track, what I suggest is this:
Back in 1858 or 59 then Colonel Robert E. Lee evaluated that it would take I believe 10,000 men to control the crisis on the Rio Grande area with all the lawlessness on both sides of the border. Banditry, war and corruption was the situation. With this in mind, I believe President Buchanan wanted to declare Northern Mexico a protectorate of the United States.
I would submit to everyone that between drug smuggling, Zeta activity (former Mexican special forces operating with drug cartels now), gang activity, corruption in South Texas, and most of all Illegal Aliens, the Mexican government's stated vows to take over the SouthWest via said Illegals and occasional conflicts with Mexican army and border patrol (in some cases outgunned by machinegun fire); General Lee's evaluation is just as true today, if not moreso, than it was 150 years ago. And since he was just talking about South Texas it would take I would think 100,000 men at least to control this.
The whole point is this, no treaty, technological ability (cameras, sensors, etc), wall, fence, ( gator
), or any talking by politicans is going to keep these invaders (and they are invaders in my view as they are foreigners who are by and large loyal to Mexico not the US) out unless there are men on the ground armed and blanketing the border.
