How often do you clean your gun(s)?

What do you guys mean by 'clean'?

Are you field stripping, fully stripping, or just sprucing it up a little?

If I don't fire the gun, every 6 months or so. Otherwise, I clean the thing after EVERY use.

They get cleaned as soon as I get back from the range.

I clean it every time after coming back from the range. I clean it so clean all my wipes come out white as Cinderella's ass. Then I oil it generously. Before shooting it again I wipe away excess oil.

Whoa! you mean you're supposed to clean them? All kidding aside, after every range trip. I don't go nuts, just boresnake em', hit the breach area with a toothbrush and wipe em' down.

Depends which Gun, at the range I might use 20 rounds on my 336 .35 cal, while son goes through 300 rounds on his 10/22 with 3 35 round clips. usualy clean them every time I shoot them

Didn't vote. I clean after every field trip regardless of the number of rounds. Cleaning means the bore, cylinders and external surfaces. Rarely take the grips off and get to the trigger assembly.

Even if I shoot mine just once, it's cleaned when I get home.

I clean mine every time I shoot them, no matter how many rounds. My carry gun gets cleaned atleast twice a month, even if not shot (rarely doesn't get shot in a month.) My other guns, I may clean on a rare occassion, but usually once they are clean and in the safe, they are there until I take them out to shoot again.

I try to clean mine before 10,000 rds.

I DO clean it (them) if I've modified it (them).

But if I've taken it (them) apart for any reason whatsoever, or cleaned it (them), I shoot it (them) afterwards to confirm function, ay?

I will always clean them within a day after shooting them.
The ones that dont get used much will get a good cleaning atleast twice a year if not shot.

range guns i get around to a day or so after shooting no matter how many rounds. if i have those out anyhow, i might as well clean what didn't make the trip to the range. my carry on the other hand gets inspected daily before holstered and cleaned weekly.

+1 murphjup ... when I get home from the range, they get cleaned and put up ... I hate dirty guns ...
