How much 22LR do you have.

I probably have on the order of 6K rounds. Mostly higher end stuff like Lapua and Tenex. That has not been to terribly hard to find. It has been pretty expensive.

I have about 15,000 rounds of various brands of .22lr. I've bought very little in the last two years and refuse to pay ten cents per round. If it normalizes at that price I will gather up my .22lr guns and sell them.

I have about 2,000 rounds but I am always looking. The local Walmart manager told me that they get phone calls right at 7AM every morning asking if any 22's came in. So there are NEVER any when I happen to be in the store. There is one LGS here in the Rockford, IL area that often has 22's, but at $5 for a box of 50 it just seems excessively expensive to me. I guess it will never get back to 2 cents a round, but I'm not desperate enough to pay 10 cents a round. My "stash" of 2,000 will last me about 10 trips to the range, and since I only go about once per month, I'm good for another year without buying.

CCI Mini-mags were selling around here at gander Mountain for pre-panic prices. I think it was $8/100 rounds. They were rationing to (500) rounds each and it was just sitting there on the shelf middle of the day on the weekend. I picked some up because it's the good stuff.
I would have gone back and bought more, but the local open air ranges have pretty much taken the fun out of shooting .22s around here. They're requiring 2-3 seconds between shots. That's crazy long.
I think I have around (2000) of various types, but it's going to take a while to pare it down.

I always buy 22LR cartridges by the 5M round case. Sometimes several cases as we've been known to shoot up a case a week without really having to work at it.
And so it goes...

I have no intention of paying the still ridiculous price that .22lr is fetching.
Now THAT'S funny right there, I don't care who you are!:D:D:D

Seriously, ya think it's going to go back to what it was?

A 525 here, a 333 there, a couple bricks elsewhere. Probably 5-10K

I expect that it will get back pretty close to what it was but that may take another year or more. Actually, in one sense it never changed. Wal-Mart is still selling it for more or less what they were before the panic. That's why people stand in line for hours when a shipment comes in.

I do. ;)

Most of the .22 LR (premium and "semi-premium") and .22 WMR that I'm shooting and storing right now was purchased AFTER the "Barackolypse". I paid less for this .22 LR and .22 WMR than I was paying before he was elected and everyone panicked.

Patience, young one. Patience and vigilance.

When a deal is found, one must be prepared to drop some greenbacks. ...Or be found wanting, and paying three, five, or ten times as much later on.

I don't buy ammo constantly (and it's pretty much only rimfire). ...But when I do, I try to buy in case quantities (5k) for .22 LR and at least by the brick (500) for .22 WMR. Rather than blowing my wad on INSANELY overpriced .22 LR a few times a month, I keep a little bit of money flowing into the "gun fund" every month, just to be certain that I'll have the funds available when I come across a deal that requires a notable chunk of change to be handed over.

I've got in the neighborhood of 35,000-40,000 rounds, bolstered by a few case purchases several years ago. I've got a few bricks with $8 Walmart price stickers on them, those old semi-fluorescent green ones

Less than 1000 rounds. I need to buy some, but refuse to pay overly inflated prices. When I see it for prices reflecting more normal inflation rates, I will buy it. Until then I will continue to reload, and shoot my center fire firearms.

22lr

I have plenty, for my self,my sons and my 2 grandsons. I piled it deep back when it was cheap. The most I paid (that I can find) is $14.95 for a 500 rd. brick. Bought a whole case from Sportsmans Warhouse at the time. I have most (cases) of it stored in a footlocker and one of my safes. Only a few bulk boxes of Federal bulk packs in one of the gun cabnets. I have lots of Federal, some Winchester, a few bulks of Remington and several cases
of CCI. Those CCIs are truely being hourded. Prior planning prevents **** poor performance. :D

I think I have a shade over 1000 rounds. The only 22lr firearm I have is a bolt action rifle though, so I don't go through it that fast. I kind of want to get a 1911 in 22lr, just to have something kind of similar to my CZ75 clone to practice with since I'm new to handgun shooting.

I have run through all but about 500 rounds. I am glad to hear some folks report that the shortage is easing, and hoping that the easing hits here pretty darn soon.

I'd have to dig out and count all the ammo I've stashed in Crown Royal bags, but i would estimate approximately 3500.

I haven't lucked out at Walmart yet, but have picked up a brick here or there at Cabelas.

I have enough decent ammo for the Mod 60 and the MkII, but am still looking for the right ammo in my CZ455. I did finally get a chance to try the match ammo I bought several months ago when I went to the range last week. I will need a few more range sessions to properly give it a chance. It was about 1.5-2 moa at 100 yards. Next time I will shoot at 50 yds and see how much better it is than the bulk ammo I've been slowly collecting.

I might have 500. The last brick I bought was $35, and I'll stop shooting rimfire before I pay more than that.
The last two stores I visited looking for rimfire had none (Cabela's, Big5), and the one other store had bricks of standard vel for $70.
