Higher end 1911's

I am fortunate to live fairly close to the Turnbull shop, and own one revolver from them.
I have seen dozens of turnbulls- from rifles, to 1911, to revolvers, and their blue is simply outstanding.
I am certain several of the other high end shops can turn out a spectacular finish as well, I do love the deep Blue of Wilsons.

I have only seen a restoration by Turnbull. Are they building their own 1911's or refinishing someones? I would assume quality and accuracy are on par with the others.
