Gale McMillan is gone

Rock-
Our sympathies go out to your family....and to each other. We are each diminished by Gale's passing.

I know he's watching, though....characteristic twinkle in his eye. We can at least hope to do him proud by our future actions and endeavors.

Rock,
I enjoyed what your father had to say on The Firing Line. I looked for his posts. We are diminished by the absence of this very wise man.
You and your family have our deepest sympathies and you will be in our prayers tonight.

Will

A forthright man, your father was. A real man. He obviously cared about doing things well, and loved his country.

"Better to have loved, and lost, than never to have loved at all." We are enriched by having had his acquaintance. I only wish it could have been longer.

your dad was the best.over the years i have ordered many stocks from yall and each time he would personally take the time to help me with great suggestions and enthusiasum.he will be missed.

My condolences go out to you and your family. It's always hard to lose a loved one. Your father was a great man. Hold on to your memories, they're the most valuable things you'll ever have.

Furiously digging through my files, I find that I have probably erased my personal electronic discussions with him, and feel sharp pangs of regret...

But what's a few message of good will compared to the lifetime achievements of a man like that? It's not often that one gets the chance to personally know a man who is a legend in is own time. It was a privelidge to know him, and I have to admire also a man like you, Rock-- one of his prouder achievements.

I can only hope to do half as much, and to have a son I can be as proud of.

Just wanted to take the opportunity to add my condolences. Although I did not know Mr. McMillan, I do know how hard these times can be for the family. Take care, God Bless.

While we here on Earth weep, those in Heaven rejoice as they welcome a truly great man Home.

I just wish I had gotten to know him better...and to learn more of his wisdom. :( But his legacy lives on in his family, and in all of us. Let's make him proud.

Vaya con Dios, Gale. You will be greatly missed.

We've lost a good one!

For years I've read about Gale; then one day
I saw his post on TFL. What a treat!

We are all less for the loss.

My sympathies to you and your family. I know Gale was highly regarded here and that speaks volumes. I enjoyed his curmudgeonly posts and will miss him.
