You like the 22 mag check out the Kel-Tec PMR-30. A semi auto pistol that holds 30 rounds of 22mag and is comparable in ballistics to the highly over-rated FN 5.7, I personally rather have the Kel-Tec and plan on buying one eventually. If you don't already know about it take a look at it, one sweet looking plinking and even SD pistol if you wanted to because you could deliver 5 COM hits in very rapid succession.

Yea, that is one nice round for sure. My father-in-law has a .357 Magnum (2 actually). Way fun to shoot, easily my favorite revolver round. I want to get one some day myself ... or maybe some day I may inherit a very fine piece (god willing many many years from now).

Haha. Well I figure the 357 is more practical because it could be carried easier. The 44magnum is a monster that falls more towards the rifle catridge :D and it comes out of a pistol.

.22 LR is a modest king, defeating all other rounds for money spent vs. fun had.

.40 is my preferred handgun round. I believe the 9mm is a fine round, but when the .40 and .45 are available and (in my opinion, big hands, big frame) they recoil essentially the same, there is no reason to get a weaker round. I love the .45 almost as much as the .40, but I find the .40 to be a very comfortable shooting and accurate round, and generally the capacity differences between .40 and .45 are 3-5 rounds as opposed to usually just one or two when it's 9mm vs. .40 .357 Sig and .45 GAP are fine rounds but not common enough to be reliably available or well priced.

For carry, I like the .380 Automatic because it allows for a smaller gun without a significant power loss.

In revolvers, I love the .38 Special. What a wonderful cartridge, absolutely manageable with proven man stopping power and reliability. I respect the .357 Magnum greatly, but am not particularly skilled with it.

Shotguns, I like 12 gauge 00 buck

Rifles, I like .243 and .223
