I am not one to assume malice when stupidity will suffice, but I must say that Kerry's stumbling in front of the train (memos and sudden vocal embrace of gun control) shortly after longtime Clinton staffers showed up in his camp is highly suspicious. If toxicology says the bum that fell off the crowded platform onto the tracks was sober, then the question arises: "Was he pushed?"

Meanwhile, expect Hillary to be a model moderate Democrat senator for the next four years, only bucking the Repubs when it will make her look strong for key contituencies...

Agreed, Tam! But take a walk on the wild side for me. Wander over to Jeremiah Films and pick up a few videos on the Clintons. The producer is a friend of mine. His integrity is above reproach, and his dedication to truth is what we would LIKE to see from the major networks. He's one of the good guys.

One of his photographers, a long time friend, came down with the Arkansas Fever while doing some of the investigative work for those videos. You know, the fever that causes a .45 caliber hole to grow in a persons head while looking into the Clintons. It's not an uncommon disease.

I suppose that's just coincidence, though. Like the fact that Jeremiah Films was subjected to some nasty IRS audits from the time they first began investigating to the time the Clintons were out of office. You may recall that a number of conservative organizations had the same problem. I don't think it had anything to do with an old classmate of Hitlery being in charge of the IRS, though. "Course not.

And that business about the very expensive Arkansas law firm being hired by two Arkansas state troopers to sue JF for slander really means nothing. Their well known connection to the Clintons is not important, either. 'Course, the federal judge that finally tossed the suit, and said that it should never have come to trial and would NOT have had FBI agents not perjured themselves... Well, that just means he's a Republican operative, of course.

I don't believe that the Elders of Zion secretly rule the world, but I can do simple math. There are way too many coincidences around the Clintons.

Hmmm. bounty seems to have not noticed that Bush's records were released a long time ago. The question was settled - he wasn't AWOL.

So if the charges he lied and failed to fulfill his Guard duty are true, we can ignore them if the source the information came from is not the one printed on the page?
No. We can ignore it if the source turns out to be a forgery. If legitimate evidence turns up proving him to be lying (for example, the infamous blue dress that forced Clinton to admit he lied), then we hold him responsible for lying.

Several hundred swiftboat vets have come forward with eyewitness testimony stating Kerry is lying (far more than Kerry can get to corroborate his side of the story), yet for some reason, a lot of people are "ignoring" them. Those same people claim the lack of witnesses to what happened in the National Guard proves Bush is lying.

Bounty,

Check this out.

I have a forged deed that gives me title to your house.
I know it's forged. You know it too. I dare you to dispute it but in the meantime I demand to take ownership. When do you move out?

I'll swear that I saw bountyh sign his house over to gburner. I was there; it happened. Who cares if the document gburner's presenting now is actually a cheap forgery done on the back of a bar tab from Greasy Joe's Dixie Bar & Grill? It doesn't change the facts!

Well shucks...

I think all these dirty politics are devised to divert our attention from the one fact that we, as defenders of the second amendment, need to decide- who is going to best represent our interests for the next four years? Who is going to (or attempt to at least) appoint supreme court judges who are likely to interpret the constitution as it is written, as opposed to what the "world court" thinks?

Who is most likely to keep this nation intact so that we may enjoy these freedoms?

John Kerry? Or GWB?

Maybe Bushbaby was off pickled with a lampshade on his head in 1975, I don't know. No doubt about where Kerry was, though. Mr. War Hero was campaigning against the US military with enough vigor that he managed to receive high honors from the enemy. Somehow I don't take that as a sterling endorsement of his patriotism... but I'm getting old and cranky and pehaps a little narrow-minded on certain subjects.

You only get one choice, and it's getting a little late in the game to be undecided. Best pick one and go with it.

No, I wasn't there when BH signed his house over, but I can attest to the fact that everything on that forged title is true.

I prayed to God to have him help me find a way to be able to laugh at my enemies instead of just being enraged by them, and along come folks like BH, John "Victor Charlie" sKerry, Dan Rather, and O'Reilly. How cool is that? I get to LMFAO instead of getting ulcers.

THANK YOU GOD!!!

Unless I've been badly misinformed, National Guard fighter jocks had to do two years of more or less full time duty to get qualified to occupy those cockpits. This is not like six weeks of basic and one weekend a month for a few years.

Another point is that morons don't handle fast fighter jets very well. It requires quick thinking and solid intelligence. Especially with the Delta Dart, which was, from most reports, NOT a forgiving aircraft. Flying the brutes was scarcely a low risk proposition. There had to be easier ways to dodge the draft.

Last, but not least, the comment earlier in this topic about pushing the limit to bend rules in the military is certainly what I've heard from those who should know about it.

Rather needs to bite the big one.

The USAF called the F-102 "The Widow Maker" actually, it had a bad record for crashes even by 1950's standards.

Bush signed the form 180, all his records are public now. He has nothing to hide. John Kerry has not.

CBS only witness they can name is an 85 year old secretary who, I fear, has been led by CBS interrogators. It is unfortunate, but I want the full tapes of everything CBS said to the woman. I think we have grounds for elderly abuse charges.

He made his points every year. Full service. 'Nuff sed.

At the end of VN the ANG abandoned the F-102 and the F-102 pilots, replacing them with more (slightly) modern aircraft and the VN experienced pilots the USAF wanted to keep.

It's a dirty little secret, but most F-102 pilots, got the heck out of the service and stopped flying all together. At least according to two USAF officers I worked with.

Who prefers to keep his feet on the ground, thank you.

Question:

If this is a Knox-Rather conspiracy, there is a problem: why would she make claims that can (if false) be refuted by dozens of people?
There already is a problem. The claims she has made have already been refuted. What hasn't materialized are the "dozens" - as you so falsely put it - of people who agree with her BS.

In fairness, you may simply be mistaking President Bush for that other so-called Presidential candidate that has in fact had more than 10 dozen of his fellow veterans sign a testament to exactly how much of a POS they believe him to be -- one John "Victor Charlie" Kerry.

1) Bush did not attend all of his drills as he was supposed to.
Pray, what else is new under the Sun? You mean to say that an ANG pilot flying an antiquated aircraft didn't make all of his drills? You don't say! Well my goodness gracious me.

2) His arrogance was resented by the other pilots because of it.
I will believe that their resentment was of consequence when I see these figments of the leftist imagination sign an afidavit to that effect. Until then, my advice is for you, and they (should they even exist) to buy an "Oprah Size" box of Kleenex at your nearest Price Club so that you will have the proper amount of facial tissue to blubber yourself to sleep at night, without getting your pillow all wet.
If you are setting up a lie, you NEVER use one that a dozen people can testify is false:
I couldn't agree more. When one is setting up a lie, one should never do the above. Very poor planning indeed.

So question back to you: How come you leftists do it all the time?

So, where are the pilots from Bush's Alabama air group who would have seen him every month at the drills (if he was there) and who should right about now be standing up to set the record straight about Ms Knox's "lies"?
Most likely they have lives/jobs/etc. the things that most of us have that tend to get in the way of participating in most of this absurdity.
Please explain how this "conspiracy" would work if Ms Knox actually was lying for money.....
Mrs. Knox is a nobody patsy. And a staunch Democrat to boot. She isn't the source of these "documents". Klintonistas are the most likely source of these "documents", they fit all of the well known, and well worn tricks that Klintonistas are known to employ. Look up "dupe" in the dictionary. See that befuddled and benighted little old lady in the picture? That's Mrs. Knox.

I spent years on a submarine with roughly the same 120-130 crewmates. At the time, I knew every person on the boat. After 20 years, other than the 10 or so close friends I had, I can name around 20-30 of the others. I might recognize another few dozen if I saw their picture.

Can you name every person in your 12th grade math class? You did spend approximately 9 months sitting in the same room with them. Should be easy, eh?

I still can't get over the fact that CBS used a woman who had no knowledge of the actual document's source to say stuff like 'It's something that blah would say" or "The content does provide true information" in order to validate the document that could cost the big man his job. If they did have a valid source that they could actually pass the burden to they would have already done it unless they truely don't have much sense. In case of the latter they don't really deserve to report critical news anymore and can move to the spots with SNL, Letterman and Leno.... or maybe QVC.

Cya Dan! oh, and CBS!

In the magical world that BountyH, Dan Blather, et al. live in, they would remember Lt. Bush and all of the minutia of his daily life, because they would have known at the TIME that he would be President some day.

My father worked for the FAA and the Air Force for 42 years. He told me a story of being in a meeting way back when with Bush during Dubya's ANG days. Dad said he remembered him because of his connections but that Dubya was a decent guy.
I'll believe my own father over Dan Rather or any of the network shmucks any day.

Killian's wife told CBS BEFORE they ran the story that her husband respected Bush and thought he was "a good young man and a good pilot." His son said the same thing.

Of course, they are lying.

My dad was one of those guys who took an "easier" way of not going to Vietnam. He told me honestly that he didn't want to go; it was hot and there were lots of bugs and people shot at you. But he didn't want to duck his duty, so he resolved that he would serve in the U.S. if he could, but go to Vietnam if he were drafted and sent there. He volunteered for the Illinois Air National Guard--the 183rd Fighter Wing based in Springfield, IL--and was able to get in because there was a class of recruits who would have been in training over Thanksgiving and Christmas, and several openings lasted longer than you'd think. He pulled no strings, and indeed could not have if he'd tried.
He spent several years reporting for drills and wrenching on F-4 Phantoms. He did love the Phantom and does to this day, but he hated the Air Guard. he hated the haircut. He grew his long beard back between drill weekends. He could never pass inspection.

But HE DID IT. He SERVED and he did his duty. He was discharged honorably. To some people, that's less than nothing because he wasn't killing VC sentries with piano wire and Ka-Bars. On the other hand, he was caring for his new wife and beginning a loving family, and I was one of the results, so I can't help but feel that it worked out well for me.

My dad wasn't a ninja or a war hero, but he never wanted or pretended to be. He's a good man.

Kerry is likely a strawman, from the beginning. More WWF.

It is quite probable that George evaded action after disregarding or disobeying an order. Wouldn't surpize me.

Knox says that Killian started what she calls a "cover-your-back" file -- a personal file where he stored the memos about the problems with Mr. Bush's performance, his failure to take a physical, and the pressure Killian felt from upstairs.

Done this; SOP when you can see someone setting you up for a [potential] fall wittingly or unwittingly in a professional environment. Logical and reasoned response. Applies in other areas of life too, and can include everything from memos, document copies etc to photos and other audio/visual recordings.

Except in Col. Killian's case the file would be more damning than helpful. One doesn't keep a file showing a history of one's own dereliction of duty, unless of course one is an idiot. I have read/seen/heard nothing that would suggest that the Colonel was an idiot.

You don't document your own missteps and failures, unless you want it to be used against you as evidence at your court marshal.

A true CYA file wouldn't include diary-like letters to yourself. It would include any correspondence with those who were pressuring or ordering you to do something you didn't think was right.

The first thing you learn about orders in boot camp is that there are lawful and unlawful orders. And, every recruit leaves basic knowing that if he believes an order to be unlawful, he should demand it in writing before executing it. If no written order is forthcoming, then there is no obligation to obey.
