Do you still own the first gun you purchased?

No , it was a Dan Wesson 357 with interchangeable 4" and 6" barrels. God willing I will never need to sell another gun again.

I still have every gun I was ever given and every gun I've ever purchased. I don't buy into trends, or safe queens. I buy to shoot and enjoy. I'm very meticulous and put a lot of thought into every gun I purchase. My first gun I purchased was a Ruger P89. Paid $299 for it brand new Grady's Great outdoors 21 years ago.

Yep, when I was 12 my dad bought me a Marlin Model 60 22lr and a Mossberg 500 12 ga, I still hunt with the 12 ga sometimes, (semi-autos are illegal to hunt with in PA) and I still have my first deer rifle, which was given to me by my grandfather, a winchester model 55 in .32 win special. My dad still hunts small game with his first gun, a sears and roebuck 22lr single shot.

Still have the first 8. Don't have number 9, it was sold after several trips back to the manufacturer about 30 years ago. Traded #'s 24, 25 and 56 for a Corvette in the late 90's (bad trade). Sold #141 about 10 years ago after learning that I could NOT adapt to a left-handed bolt action, no matter how good a deal it was and how pretty it was (Weatherby Mark V Deluxe). Still have everything else.

I still have my first gun- a cheap japanese knock-off of a Winchester model 37, bought by my dad in 1976 for 12 bucks ...... it's in parts now, and I had to buy it at mom's estate sale, for $50 .......

....that's another story for another day.

I have my first rifle, a Browning lever action .22 LR.

I have half of the first rifle I bought. A Colt Hbar II. I shot the barrel out sold it to a friend to use as a caliber conversion on his 7.62x39 Colt Sporter. I replaced the origional barrel with a FN 20"

I still have my first gun that I bought ... An H&R Topper model single barrel .20 gauge. Okay, so my dad actually purchased it, but half of the funds I had saved up in accordance with our agreement. I think the total price was about $59 from Otasco.

I do still have the first gun: Mossberg 500 12 guage.

The first handgun I ever bought was a Ruger SR9c, and I loved it. Had to send it to Ruger twice in the first year, so I always had a little doubt about it, but still really loved it. Possibly the best shooting gun I had.

I just traded it, and some cash, last week for a used Sig P232. I might miss it if I weren't having so much fun with the P232!

Yes, I do. A Mosin Nagant M91/30 manufactured in 1943, not the wisest choice of firearm to ease into the shooting world with (don't shoot it as much as I used to).

Always a blast to take out to the range though.

first gun

Yup, still have Ruger Mark I with target barrel. Bought it in 2001. Didn't know then that there was a target barrel or regular barrel. Salesman assumed I wanted a good one. Lord bless him! It still shoots great!
John gun

I guess no, not really. The first gun was shared between my older brother and myself. Pop would carry us bird hunting swapping time about. He bought us an Ithaca 37 in 20 ga. My brother wound up with it but has since passed it down to his son. The first one of my very own was a BL 22 purchased by me at age 14, with my parents helping out some. I have since passed it down to my son. Some day it will be passed down to his son. They're still in the family though. Does that count?:D

I still own the first gun given to me by my dad a 1963 Savage 4M,and still own the first gun I purchased on my own, a 1967 Remington 581,both are like new and still shoot great.

double post?

No.
In '07 at age 52 I decided, in my total ignorance of Any info about them, to make a First gun purchase, a brand-new Auto Ord. M-1 carbine. The gun was treated with care.

After approx. 150 rds. one day the bolt felt a little tight, and trying to loosen it then jammed solid. Despite the free factory repair, I decided to sell it.

It was my only purchase of a brand-new gun and have bought almost twenty since then.

It was in 1997 or so for me. I bought a SIG P229 9mm. Still own it. However, I don't think I own guns 2 & 3 anymore. From #4 on, I think I've kept them all.

However, I am looking to sell one or two right now....first time in 10+ years.
