I think I've lost track of what this argument is about.

But not Barney Frank? No bias there! LOLI'm still waiting on Senator Vitter to do the same. . .
vsOn July 20, 1990, the House ethics committee absolved Frank of knowing about the prostitution ring
"This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible," Vitter, 46, said in a statement, which his spokesman, Joel DiGrado, confirmed to the Associated Press.
"Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness from God and my wife in confession and marriage counseling," Vitter continued. "Out of respect for my family, I will keep my discussion of the matter there -- with God and them. But I certainly offer my deep and sincere apologies to all I have disappointed and let down in any way."
Prostitution exploites women, and demeans and degrades them. Other than that, I guess it is no big dea
A friend of ours here has a sister who is probably the most famous madame of modern times and she would disagree also.If you read the book Mayflower Madam: The Secret Life of Sydney Biddle Barrows by Sydney Biddle Barrows, you will find that actual prostitutes do not necessarily agree with your blanket statement.
Not a valid comparison at all. You idea of degradation and exploitation is not the same as someone else's and you cannot force your restrictive and uptight morality on others...no matter how hard you try.The fact that prostitutes accept being exploited, demeand and degraded does not mean that it isn't a fact. Just as many victims of domestic violence accept having the crap beat out of them on a regular basis, and do not see it as a problem.

Really? I was not aware the the AMA or the psychiatric review board had declared prostitution as a disease or condition. I was under the impression that the psychological results of individual actions vary...dependent on mindset, reason, desire, personal emotional developement, and personal belief. It has nothing to do with my "uptight morality". It has to do with the psychological aspects of prostitution.
Prostitution, just like pornography, demeans, degrades, and exploites women. It is not just my view, it is a view held by more than a few psychologists.

They really need to park that $100,000 Porsche, go immediately to their penthouse Manhattan apartment and jump off the balcony.
True, but reprimanded for unethical behavior. I'm sure he didn't know his prostitute was prostituting. On July 20, 1990, the House ethics committee absolved Frank of knowing about the prostitution ring
I think you missed the point. But hey, as long as God forgave him, everything's cool
