9mm, 40S&W, 45ACP

47 and shoot 40 s&w, it is very easy to find and I like something for ccw and all around woods carry in Michigan, I feel it it's better for woods carry than 9mm and as good for ccw as 45.

60 here. My favorite carries are.
1. 9mm
2. 38Spl +p
3. 40 S&W

I don't own a .45acp. I qualified with them when I was in the military, but didn't really shoot them well. Maybe in todays guns I would be better, but I can do whatever I need with what I already have.

I am 52 - old school life long 1911 fan but with prices on everything
thru the roof today i only carry 2 calibers of ammo, 9mm and 556
so i switched from 45acp`s in the line up to 9mm`s, they are cheaper
to train/shoot more often and easier/lighter for everyday carry ccw

S/A Loaded 1911-9mm
Citadel 1911-9mm
Sig P226-9mm TACOPS w/20 rd mags
Kahr CW9 - 9mm

45 yrs old and favorite is 40S&W. My reasons are handgun size vs caliber and ammo price. My duty gun and off duty gun are 40S&W. My HD is a 45acp and my competition gun is 9mm. If I was limited to one it would be 40S&W.

9mm for me. I haven't owned a .45 yet and .40 is too snappy for my liking. I found with every 40 I was just trying to reload it lighter to be more like a 9. I wised up and just said "I'm a nine guy".

Oh, and I'm 27 btw.

how do these get started?

I am soon to be fitty two. I just picked up a 9mm P yesterday but my favorite is .44 Auto Mag which aint on your list.

Age?

.45 ACP. 68 years old.
I shoot a lot of Bullseye matches. I need a .45 to do that. I do not need either of the others if I have the .45.
I own a 9mm; don't shoot it much. The .40 that I shoot occasionally is a wildcat based on the .45 ACP (400 CorBon).

Well I'm back into the 9mm now, figured it couldn't hurt to have a 9mm around.

So I'm 33 y/o and shoot all three (in addition to others not listed).

54 and I only got a 9mm out of the 3 listed and also carry at time but not listed for a pocket gun is P32 .I like wheel guns better.but not for carry.Like I can the 9mm and the 32acp.

Yes, age has nothing to do with it (LOL).

Well I have been a 9mm fan since 1969 (BHP) up until 2004 when I switched to 45 ACP then in 2007 bought two 40 S&W's, then sold the 40's off and bought two 45 ACP's then 2009 back to 9mm (PT-92) and then 2012 another 9mm (CZ 75 P-01).

Right now the 45 ACP is on my hip. but I use the 9 mm on the night stand and probably shoot it the most (And best).

So I don't know, but I would say it depends on which way the wind is blowing on any particular day.

So yes age has a lot to do with it.

I'm 65, I've 4 full size 1911, a model 625 .45APC, several model 10's, several model 36's & 637's & 638's all 38Spl's, several model 19's, .357's, and a model 60 .357 w/ a 3" barrel.

11 days shy of 30 and 9mm, although I'd like to get to know the .45 a little better.

I tried 40. 9mm follow ups are so much faster and more accurate for me.

21 years old

My favorite handgun caliber out of those listed is the .45acp. It is what I like the most as far as over all utility goes. I carry a 5" 1911 .45acp. I look down upon 9mm for its SLIGHT impededence on performance compared to others. I have the capability to cleanly take game with my carry gun out to 40yds if I had to. In a survival situation if you lose your handgun and all you have is your carry gun, you may need to get food with it
