damn looks like things are not pretty over there in the US.
True, a lot of folks have lost jobs due to plants and factories closing. Others lost money when the big banks decided to screw everyone over.

People just don't wanna turn loose of any extra cash like they normally would...hopefully it will start slowly getting better. Like one poster already put it, you can't eat a gun. Gotta pay the bills and buy food 1st.

I think the next gun I buy will be a Glock 30 SF. I love my S&W M&P 9c, and couldn't wait for the compact .45 to come out. Now that it has, I am a little dissapointed in it's size. It is bigger than I would have thought. I have not seen it in person though. If after seeing it, I still think it is too big, I will likely get my first glock, model 30 SF

My List

Hmmmm..... I checked Glock, Sig, Springfield and HK. That's if everything goes well and I actually get some grant money in for my daughter's college. lol

1. Glock - probably a 35, because I get LE price and I can get a 100 bbl and shoot 9mm if I want to. Getting it for IPSC and will sell my 17.

2. Sig - still hankering for a P220

3. Springfield - Got a deal from our local shooting club for 35% off on any one SA item. Still trying to decide.

4. HK - :) Just got an HK4 off this forum. Not sure why, I am not a 380 type person but it was calling my name. If we can work out shipping.

5. Not on list - RRA LAR-8 and building a SBR RRA 9mm AR

IF I accomplish all this for 2009 I will be lucky!!

Next purchase in my household will be a S&W M&P9C for my beautiful wife...then I get to get another one for myself. I haven't decided if I want to get a bolt-rifle next or a 1911. There's a tiny chance a shotgun will be next so I can start shooting in the monthly 3gun shoots.

ruger all around

I already picked up a blackhawk this year. However an Sp101 in .327 and an Alaskan in .45/.454 are on my list.

For the first time in years, I don't expect to buy any firearms this year. If something presents itself to me that I can't live without, like a sub $500 Detonics or Grizzly:rolleyes:, then maybe, but I'll probably ask for accessories for my birthday and Christmas this year. I know what the wife will say, "No gun?"

I really wanted a Ruger LCP, but with all the hoohah, I'll just keep my P32 for quite a while longer.

What I see in my future:
Springfield GI model 1911
Ruger LCP
Glock "C" model
Kahr PM45

I'm open to suggestions on how to tell OR not tell my wife.

Ben

The new Ruger poly revolver,as long as the first six months are good for it.

Replaces the Smith 442/642 as a buy for me if it works out but I may wind up with either of those first anyway, they are proven and just wait that Ruger out a year or two just to see how it treats the new owners of it.

I like that the Ruger was designed from the start as a double action only.

I think it will have a heck of a trigger pull and double action.

At least I hope so.

Now if Taurus comes out with an Ultralight that has as great an action d/a only as my da/sa Ultralight has now-well., I might take a chance of that.

And if a Kel Tec just happens to come up at a good price......

This is the problem, all kinds of choices -all good ones and not enough money.

But thinking is free.:D

Ya know...I finally got all the boxes checked, of what I Have to Have. Got the November wake-up call.
So I'm going to buy a "little" more ammunition, then wait to see how the new Kahr P380 and the new SIG P238 pan out.
I checked Kahr and SIG.

Supposedly up to half the felt recoil of similar sized revolvers and the "smoothest and lighest trigger" Dick Metcalf has ever experienced on a small-framed revolver. Evidently to him, 100 rounds of +P in under 15 minutes felt like standard pressure loads through a steel-framed snub. (Soon to be on Guns & Ammo Television)
