Which brands are on your to buy list in 2009?

In your post is you could tell us the model detail it will be nice.

Regards

Just bought the only handgun on my 2009 wish list two days ago........Ruger LCP. Probably wont buy another handgun for quite a few years.

Recently bought a no-lock 642 (brand new), a Rohrbaugh R9s Stealth, and an LCP.

The only other things I'm thinking about for early 2009 will be high-capacity, high-quality guns of any sort. Ya'll know why.

I'm not necessarily brand loyal even though it does appear that I do lean in certain directions.
The one gun I'd like to have but probably won't because they are so hard to find in the States is a Manurhin MR73 in 3", although I'd settle for the 5-1/4".
Doubt if it's going to happen, though.

My first two guns were on the cheaper side since that's all I could afford (Hi-Point c9 and PT-111). I plan on saving up for a g26 before the year's out. I also kinda want a Bersa .380cc for when clothing won't allow larger after shooting my wife's.

I don't really have a list, but I'm in the process of buying a Kimber Ultra Carry II stainless. Already have a bunch of 5" 1911s, just adding a compact to the family now...thanks Busby.:D

I never know what will be next...until I see it.;)

Food. Lot of us out here out of work. You cannot eat a gun, well you can but the results are not pretty. With retail prices like they are, it must make us appreciate the ones we already have, if you set down and figure out the replacement costs. My list looks like all 0's right now, but heck, things change, right?

I had planned on trying to by a Ruger Blackhawk. With my on-going LCP recall snafu, not sure if I'll bother with buying another Ruger. If Ruger is out, I won't likely buy any thing in 2009.

Already got S&W 22a this year and now building a Mauser in 7mm-08, IF I am luck my wife will buy me a Remington 90T for my Bday.

I'm still looking to pick up a Ruger SP101 in 327, maybe one in 357. I'm also looking for either a Seecamp or NAA Guardian. I've been thinking about getting a 45 ACP revolver; perhaps a S&W 1917 Model 22, or I've been thinking of a Red-hawk modified for moonclips of 45colt or ACPs.

I could use another six-gun since my dad wants to get into cowboy-action-shooting this summer. Of course not only do I need a 2nd revolver, but all the gear too (belts, holsters, etc.)

Getting away from handguns...
I'd like to get an M1 Carbine, and a light-weight carbine in 5.56 or 7.62 (
haven't decided)

Well, its not as long of a list as I would have expected....

Ha ha ha ha ha! I'll be lucky to cover range dues this year.

Would not mind picking up the Ruger LCR, once price settles down and assuming there aren't any problems that come up.

(Stichken included)

As if.

Not really in the market for anything right now. My single purchase this year has been an Auto Ordnance M1 carbine. About the only thing I might look at in the future is a Ruger LCP.

I need to get a back up gun. S&W .38 Special or .357. Not sure which I will wind up with, just need something to tuck under my vest.

Might I ask how you like it? I am looking to get one myself, though I haven't decided on the model yet. It is likely to be my only rifle purchase this year, if at all.

Re: Auto Ordnance M1 carbine. I've only put 100 rounds through it but thus far like it a lot. I had one jam - believe it was a bad cartridge. I was more interested in how it functioned than how accuarate it was - and it functioned fine in my opinion. Got smoother the more it was fired. Stipped it and cleaned it when I got home and there was quite a bit of 'grit' on the return rod where the finished had worn off a bit. The action was much smoother after cleaning and lube. Can't wait to take it out again. (Have had trouble finding ammo locally and just recieved 500+ rounds via on line orders).

As a Michigander, I couldn't help but notice that you left off Maruchan.

Also, as a Michigander I probably won't be able afford to buy anything this year. On the off-chance that changes, I selected:

1) Ruger-LCP
2) S&W-Model 10
3) Springfield-Some flavor of 1911
4) HK-P2000SK

Truth be told, what I really want to get in 2009 is an AR. But there are even longer odds on me accomplishing that.

Smith and Wesson got allot of votes but they also have a huge catolog, maybe other makers can take note...I picked Kahr. I have been fiddling around with the idea of a PM9 now for so long I think I'll just do it.
