I'd take a Glock 17 with a 17 round magazine.
High capacity, reliable, and sturdy enough to not be scratched when I toss it and run like a bat out of hell while I'm being attacked by 10+ armed people. Taking on 10 or more hostiles is an excellent method forcing the mortician to call your dentist.

Since I'm in a city, try and put as much distance between us as possible, cutting through crowds of people, yanking off my jacket and hat as I go. Keep running and put as many warm bodies between myself and the attackers to prevent them firing.

1) Are they attacking you, are you attacking them or is this a random encounter?
2) Are the buildings in your area made of mudbrick or concrete?
3) Do your weapons need to be concealed?
4) Is the enemy will to pay a big price to get you, or will they stop if the price becomes too high?

Dexidrine is Dextroamphetamine. Until recently was prescribed by military doctors to pilots & others who need to stay alert for long periods. Handy for 100 hour wars...

It reported that amphetamines helped Hilter and his Blitzkrieg to steamroll across Europe.

I've noticed on Rainbow Six and Call of Duty, it's pretty easy to carry two longarms. I've also noticed that in the real world, just carrying one longarm with a combat load (7 mags 223 or 5 mags 308) is pretty burdensome after a while (especially if doing combatty things like running, jumping, etc.)

Hands down, I'm bringing a MEUSOC.

Those 10 wannabe BGs will be asking this question on bgfiringline: "Dude, if there are 10 of us and someone brings a MEUSOC, what should we be armed with?"

MEUSOC. All the way.

12 Gauge short SxS on my shoulder loaded with 00 buckshot, .308 enfield Mk4 in my hands. Lots of stripper clips, and slugs too.

Buckshot for anything close, slugs up to 50yds, the .308 enfield for armored threats or threats further away than 50yds up to 400yds.

As it would appear that Pakistan's gun laws are less restrictive with regards to what a civillian can own that those of the United States, I don't believe I'd bother with a handgun at all. Instead, I'd prefer a select-fire HK G3 with low powered optics and a short-barrel pump or semi-automatic shotgun.

I think an SKS,or AK-47,a pump 12 ga. shotgun with plenty of 00 buck or #1 buck,and a 1911 .45 pistol would serve you well. If the .45 1911 is not allowed,a large caliber hand gun of some kind. my 2 cents..

My "go-to" rifle is an LRB M25 Tanker with an 18 1/2" medium weight C/L barrel, SEI DC Vortex, GLFS dovetail and extended bolt stop, NM unitized gas cylinder and trigger assembly, in Boyd's laminated stock. In the short to intermediate range, I would use it as is. For ranges over 200 yards, my concern would be that the stock makes no sense with the receiver built for mounting a scope, in my case a S&B 3-12x50 PMII. I have been waiting for a JAE-100 G2 with an adjustable QD cheek rest-w/spacer system, a 9" bottom 1913 rail, an off hand rest w/integral 1913 rail, 2 Grovtec flush cups with a swivel set, an adjustable butt pad with 2 spacers 1/4" thick each, an adjustable palm rest, a barrel tensioner and titanium lug slides. The QD system, my main reason for choosing this setup, is not yet in production.

The SIG AMT would be another great choice for social work using iron sights with occasional reliance on a QD scope setup. For a variety of reasons, I prefer recoil-operated autoloaders to gas-operated ones, and the SIG version of the roller-locked delayed blowback action is far superior to the fragile HK implementation.

For my sidearm I would take a SIG P210. If I needed a shotgun, it would be a Remington 11 U.S. Riot.

My go-to combo: M4 Bushy and Sig P226.

If its a modern army with body armor then and AR-10 and a 1911 .45 cal
45 ACP is ineffective against even the lowest level of body armor. 9mm is more effective and is one of the reasons it has been adopted by every army in the free world. 5.7 is significantly better versus armor compared to 9mm, but is a worse manstopper against an unarmored badguy. It's a give and take, unfortunately. There are no free rides.

If you're not limited by military treaties :
BAR (30-06) with good hollowpoints.
1911, again with good hollowpoints.
America showed what the 30-06 could do in WWWI, hollowpoints are banned in war, wonder why?

Above all, good boots and pray hard while usuing them.

Squad of Marines. That was not meant as a joke. 30 years in Marine Corps and 6 years in Viet Nam leads me the sober observation that your situation is not "combat" but "Unit Tactical" meaning you will need a whole bunch of people wth guns on your side. If the Marines aren't available, you need four or five well trained neighbors with AK47s to back you up. Forget handguns, you need good assault rifles. If you are foreseeing this possibility for real (and I know that is very possible), it is time to start training a neighborhood militia

as i was reading this thread, i was wondering if it's even possible to get a clear 500 - 1000 yd line of sight in all directions in any place - especially city or suburban area - i've ever been in. i'd think if there were 10 or more guys chasing you you'd need to be able to see in every direction, otherwise there's no advantage in a firearm with that kind of capability.

For myself, My M1-A scout,my pump shot gun,my 1911 .45 acp,and my ruger 10-22. I don't expect I would be encountering very many bulletproof vests,but if that did happen,there are other points of impact available. Also a .22 lr will shoot right through a vest if it misses the armor plate. The .308 will do it even better...my .2 cents..:)

Bgfiringline.com Thats classic...

"so when i'm mugging someone should i use a glock or XD? I want good fear factor but i'll also need it to be cheap so i can throw it in the river afterward"

LOL

If we're talking personal type weapons I would go with the following:

Rifle=AR-15/M-16

Pistol=Glock 21 .45 auto or Sig 226 chambered in .357 sig

Winchester model 97 Trenchgun/shotgun.

Roach
