Your next 3 to 5 gun acquisitions planned?

Your next 3 to 5 gun acquisitions planned?

Yep, that's the question. Just a snapshot in time of some people's "in the market for" positions...

Been wanting to get a 92fs back in my safe for yrs now, just havent found the right timing, x-5 is first in line on my list if price is right, then sig scorpion to keep my spartan company in the safe, then hopefully a sphynx, and a ps90

Yes, mine are. At the moment, here is the order

1. Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor
2. 20 gauge semi-auto shotgun
3. S&W 629
4. Another AR, this one built for precision shooting.

Mini 14
Rossi 357 lever
Para ordnance black ops p14
Para ordnance pro custom
H&R buffalo classic or sharps 45-70
Bolt 22 lr (only if the shortage ever frees up some ammo)

Several years ago I put together an ordered wishlist with about 15 on it. Since several were out of production, like the Automag in .44, or just plain expensive I knew they were likely out of my reach. But a few were available at less than I expected.

And then there were the deals that were just too good...

Rather than acquiring more guns, I really need to sell some of my closet queens that I haven't shot in years.

As someone who does a lot of competition shooting, I have kind of dropped out of the gun arms race mostly because over the years I have slowly come to the realization that the world's most expensive trap shotgun isn't going to make me a champion trap shooter any more than a Stradivarius violin will make me able to play like Joshua Bell.

1. Glock 19
2. Ruger 10/22
3. Ruger SR1911
4. S&W shield 9mm
5. Mossberg 500/590 or Remington 870 HD shotgun
6. Oh wait you said 3-5 my bad. I could go on and on and on

I had zero plans to buy any guns this year. That being, I joined a gun club that was part of the CMP and suddenly I could buy a H&R M1 Garrand so I simply had to order one.

Fast forward a few months and I really started to enjoy trap shooting. Of course while lots of generous folks let me shoot their guns, I needed my own and that led to a Beretta Silver Pigeon Sporting Over Under.

At this point, I have no gun plans for the next two years.

Well said sir

Most of my gun-buying plans went out the window when I married into a turn-key family. :)
A gun that I've been waiting for, for six years now, is the oft-rumored Vltor reboot of the Bren Ten. If it ever does make it to market, I'll get one.
Guns that interest me, though I don't know if they're interesting enough to actually "plan" to buy:

SIG P238 or P938
AR pistol (10mm?)
Colt New Frontier
Something that will accept a suppressor

1. 5+ inch 9mm (xd 5.25, Glock 17L, G34)
2. shotgun 18.5 barrel (have 2 20's and a 30 inch)
3. Ruger american compact in .308
4. Compact .40 cal
5. Glock 20

1. S&W 96 44 mag
2. Kimber Solo
3. American tactical MP40 22 lr
4. SGS STG 44 22 LR
5. Ruger SP101 or 100 in a 5 shot 44 special (I can dream cant I)

I find it much more fun to wait until just before hunting season and start cruising the used fun racks at the local gun and pawns. Never know what some old timer or inheritee will shake loose and trade off. I'm much more interested in classic european sporting rifles than anything currently made so planning my long gun purchases in advance leads to frustration too much of the time.

But to join in the spirit of the thread I have one, maybe two purchases planned:

-An AR pistol. Configuration and specific parts yet to be determined although I know I will be using the Sig brace.
-Taurus Judge. Maybe. Mostly because I'm a nerd and want the Voice of Justice.

Yep, 45-70 lever gun. Leaning toward the Marlin. 308 BFR, Desert Eagle in 44 mag, and finally the little two shot derringer in 45-70.

Size matters!

Mel

I bought a Henry lever carbine (16" but not youth) .22lr today but that may end up being a gift to my sister (unless today's Supreme Court ruling bans gifts of guns to others: http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2014/6/16/supreme-court-gunsstrawpurchase.html )
