Would you own this gun?

Sure, why not, have the maker engrave it with the name "Fluffy". get into a defensive shooting and just watch the opposition attorney try to make something out of a magenta pistol named "Fluffy".. "The defendant was so intent on getting into a gun fight and killing someone, he bought and used a pistol named "Fluffy". "Fluffy"? What the hell."

Now, it the pistol was black and the "Terminator of All Things" model there might be a problem. LOL

You know, it crossed my mind that this might be the perfect ccw piece in those places where ccw is not allowed. After all, you could just tell the local law that it was a squirt gun, and they'd probably believe you.:D

Also, disregarding the ladies only tag, maybe this is a commemorative for the "Pink Pistols'. What the heck.

If it shoots....;)

I love it, because it's ANTI-TACTICAL, and, as noted above, it's NON-CONFORMIST.

I'd buy it and use it. If others laugh, fine. Laughter is GOOD!!!

Just in case anyone cares, that pistol is a Charles Daly "ladies" .45 polymer auto. It's actually a decent quality pistol made by Bul in Israel, and sells for under $300.

Don't know if it's true or not, but rumor implies that Kimber uses the Bul M-5 frame kit for their Polymer 1911s. Sure looks like it's true (Kimber left, Bul Right. )So you folks with Kimber Polymers, may very well have a cousin to that pink pistol. :D

Though I would never buy the Pink one, I do know a couple folk that are very happy with the same pistol in black.

Tamara,
Sorry I missed it the first time around, but that pic you posted is a Bul M-5 "Ultimate Racer" IPSC.

Just happens to be made by the same company that produced that ugly pink Bul Impact shown in the first post. The impact is a very good Israeli pistol, that just happens to be imported in the USA under the infamous Charles Daly name.

Gusgus,

That's an STI frame, not a Bul frame.

The gun itself is actually an airsoft replica of an STI Grandmaster.

I think that it's just a sales gambit to try and get women to buy handguns, like the Lady Smith S&W the light blue or pink frames for Kel-Tec's, the pink grips on some cheap autos (like Loricin). I am sure the quality autos are still quality autos when they get the pink treatment. But would I buy it? Hell no. Would my wife? I am certain she would find it to be condescending.

Actually, I'd like one in 'Blaze Orange'--frame AND slide the same color. You know, the color they make toy guns so no one accidentally gets shot holding a toy gun...

It might give you a second or two when you need it.

My wife says she'd buy it if it were blue (her favorite color).

OK Tamara, my bad. I didn't look at it close enough. It is very similar to the Bul, but of course isn't.

But, I still swear that Kimber is using Bul M-5 frame kits for their Polymers. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

If someone can tell me where to get matching furniture for my AR-15, I will order them both tomorrow. Seriously non-tactical.

I believe Charles Daly does have it in blue. Great thing about injection molds, once you clean out the nozzles you just have to feed it different colored plastic.
