Would you own this gun? Would you tell anyone if you did?

Nope & I certainly wouldn't post pictures on the net advertising the fact! :D (Just kidding!)
Hey, if you're happy with it and it functions properly that's all that matters!

If I was given the gun for free (cause I would surely never buy it), I would immediately give it a paint job (black or grey) before my wife or two daughters could take a look at it. (who is this pink gun intended for ?)

If I had a decent chance of winning in competition with it, would gladly own it. I love to tweek the losers. :D

Kermit: Not mine (shudder) ... found it on Gunbroker.

Probably a good one to have in a competition. While your competitors are trying to stop laughing and finishing up changing their soaking pants, you can shoot to your heart's content!

Twenty-one years ago, a purchased a genuine, bona-fide ‘Saturday Night Special.’ I paid a premium $35 dollars for it. I did an evaluation for a local DA. It functions and I would not hesitate to use it in defense of myself and my loved ones if it was the only firearm I owned. Fortunately, I own other firearms that are significantly more reliable and would use them instead. I did not “thumb my nose up” when I bought that revolver and I would not do so at that one depicted in the photo you posted just because it is clad in a color I consider to be utterly unacceptable for a tool used for personal defense. I don’t know anything about the ‘pink gun,’ but I will keep an open mind. My guess is that is was recently manufactured. The engineering and metallurgy is likely to be at least an order of magnitude better than the SNS. It then should function more reliably. If it goes bang when I squeeze the trigger that is a significant point in its favor. It will likely appeal to a different demographical group than the very knowledgeable, conservative members of TFL Forum. Would I own that firearm? Yes. Would I tell anyone about it? After I evaluate it, yes I would.

From a purely cosmetic standpoint, that thing puts the "Ugh!" in ugly.

On the other hand, I think this one is cool as heck; so my opinion may not matter much, here. ;)

I like the color. I have a shirt the same color. The whole "pink is just for girls" thing is antediluvian cultural gender bias anyway. Besides, the bad guy will be just as dead when shot with a pink Charles Daly DDA in .45ACP.

I recognize that gun! It belonged to Liberace. Early in his career he used to play piano in juke joints and rowdy bars from Copper Harbor to Biloxi. From time to time, he would keep the crowd at bay thru feats of marksmanship. He would put candles on top the piano and shoot out the flames. He was also a very good boxer and decked many a heckler with a sweet left hook.

He kept candles on his piano in later years as a rememberance of his rough beginings. He paid for his schooling at Guilliard by working in a Pennsylvania steel mill. Didn't get along all that well with his co-workers and took to drink. Became addicted to Rolling Rock beer.

Proof. PROOF! As proof, --- just look at some of his old stuff and you will notice candles on the piano! And, if that isn't proof enough, just notice his big, beery grin. Into his first Rolling Rock before noon every day!

So there, glad I cleared that up, eh!

taa, cs:D

HAHA, Anyone else notice the Kolpin gun rug it's sitting on top of says "LADIES ONLY" on the price tag? I guess they had to make it clear that only women can/should buy it :)

I can't think of a logical reason for it to say LADIES ONLY other than the fact that it's girly :)

I would not own it, because I am not a fan of pink. I wouldn't own a pink shirt, let alone a pink gun!

I guess I'm just an old fashioned manly man in that I want my guns to be black, blued, or stainless steel.

Granted, zinc is a fake metal, at least for building guns.

But...they're GREEN. And YELLOW. And that just AIN"T NATURAL!

And they're gathering dust. ;)
