Pull the trigger and BANG!

Ruger SP-101, DAO.

With .357s, it's more like BANG! ..ang, ang, ang, ang............

After that horrendous wake-up call, isn't it wonderful to know you have 4 more left in the cylinder?

Great idea for a poll!

What I find interesting is S&W's outrunning Taurus by over 2:1 ratio. Despite the significant price difference, there's something about the Smiths that made people go that way when they could have saved some cash on a Taurus.

I'm shopping for a snubnose right now so this is good data. :)

I also am shopping for snubbies, one for myself, and another for the girlfriend. I'm glad that it's also helping others in shopping. What I really want to do is go shoot snubbies in various materials (steel, scandium, titanium), and in .38 and .357. Short of driving the 50 miles to Tacoma, there's no place around to rent, so I'm looking here for everybodies opinions and favorites. I appreciate everybodies input, and would love anything and everything else you have to say.

.

That is interesting. Price was not a major consideration when I bought my Taurii. I can afford to buy pretty much any firearm I want and after doing a hands-on comparison with a S&W 642 and a Taurus 650, I bought the Taurus. In other threads, I have seen many people state that a major reason is the greater resale value of a S&W. I rarely sell or trade my firearms, so resale value means very little to me. But I think that the S&W does have significantly greater resale value than a typical Taurus.

Smith & Wesson 642

I carried a Smith & Wesson 642 for years but switched to the 638 Bodyguard a couple of months ago because I like the way the 638 carries in a pocket better and the trigger seemed lighter and smoother to me so I was alittle more accurate with it. Primary and favorite are basically the same. Primary my Smith & Wesson 638. Favorite any Smith & Wesson snubbie.

My primary is a square butt, nickel plated, S&W Model 37 (in my pocket now at work)
On occasion it's my model 60, or 64, or 66, or if I can sneak it out...my wifes nickel plated Colt Detective Special.
