Who carries a 1911 and how old are you ?

I am 24.
Carry Coonan B 357mag. automatic (1911 pattern) Cond. 1 frequently.
Also carry Colt Officers acp cond. 1 very often.
c&l is the only propper way to carry 1911 type gun. The only other option is cond 3 (empty chamber). It is very dangerous to try decocking these guns with round in the chamber. And anyways, why would you?
Those things are safer then Glocks anyways.

Can I play too? I'm 29 and don't own a 1911 pattern yet. However, after taking LFI-1 with my Glock 17, seeing the performance of 1911s on the line, and considering all the factors, I'm looking at converting to a 1911 pattern for carry. I'll probably get a Kimber Custom Target with a Compact backup/CC weapon.
