Which handgun that you personally own does your heart like the most?

Kcub:

I'm like a man having an affair: witch of my two loves do I want. I'm caught between my 1960's Smith & Wesson model 29 and my Smith & Wesson model 625. I can't make up my mind.

I have a lot of guns ( maybe too many ) ....and I'm very attached to a lot of them ...and paid a lot of money for many of them....

but my mod 27-2 Nickel 4" ( N frame S&W )....has a special place in my heart. I shot it yesterday ....

but I have some great 1911's ....Wilson Combat, Ed Brown ...and a new Freedom arms, premier - lg frame, 4 3/4" octagon barrel in .357 mag is due to be shipped in a couple of weeks....(been waiting since early Jan...) ....and I expect to like it a lot ...but over the model 27 ...?? I don't know ....ask me again in about 4 weeks...

Really hard question.

Today I guess it my Ruger BH in 45 Colt.

But that will not last forever.

I can tell you my Glock and XD are way down the list

A few years ago, I probably would have said one of my 1911s, especially my Gold Cup, but after being at my side for 17+ years now, I would have to say its my (very) under appreciated SW Model 60. I've gone almost everywhere with it and it has given me the peace of mind that is 100x the value that was put into buying it. Low maintenance, reliable, and when stoked with 5 rds of Corbon 158gr +P+, packs quite a punch up close and personal. After all this time, I just can't imagine ever being without this little gun, even if my CCW permit does not get renewed by this misbegotten, police state.

Wow, this is a tough one!

What speaks to my heart the most? Hmmm.

I have a few, so I have to think about it.

I am REALLY enjoying the Caspian I just finished building and now am able to start shooting.

It would be hard to part this with that one I just shot the second 100 rounds through it and obtained a 7 yard group I've never come close to in a .45 before: 8 rounds touching in a hole about 1 1/4" wide outside edge to outside edge. Yippee!

But, I really like the feel of my 1993 Hi Power Mark III also, and I love the story that I had a forum member find out he had put a deposit down on it 1 hour before I got to that store, so he backed out and turned the gun over to me. What a guy!

It would be really hard to part with that Hi Power. Especially since 9mm is so much more affordable than .45acp.

However, I'd probably be like a couple of others on here and have to stick with my customized Argentine Sistema. Frame and MSH are original, but that's all.

After my last bout of working on it, I was able to put 50 rounds into this sized hole at 7 yards with the Sistema.

My hands/arms have a bit of a shake to them, and my astigmatism makes longer range shots harder, so I consider this a good starting point for my accuracy work: self-defense range.

I will be working to get myself up to the 25 and 50 yard range shots someday, but not yet.

It would be really hard to choose between the Sistema and the Hi Power [which has a similar sized 50 round group at 7 yards], but I'd probably lean toward the Sistema, as I did more work to it so it feels more like 'mine'.

But, that Caspian may surpass all of them within the next year: it feels SOO nice!

The snubby Taurus 44. It was my go to gun when I didn't have money. It spent hours and hours "on duty". It worked as advertised when I needed it. And I'm here today because of it.

I now have lots of nicer, fancier, more expensive, more powerful guns. It will never get sold.

The last one I bought, or the next one I want!
That's how I got into this mess!!!

Other than that, and being more serious it has to be this one for sentimental reasons! My Grandfather gave it to me when I was 14 years old. Over fifty years ago. It still sees the range a few times per year, and is still a very accurate pistol.

She's never failed one single time. I worry about her, I want to shoot her, but I also want her to last forever, so it's a dilemma.

Tough choice between my Beretta 92FS Inox or 84FS Cheetah Two-tone. Probably the 92FS because I shoot it more, though.

My Colt SAA ca 2008 in non-catalog'd .44 Sp. There are others that "make more sense" in many ways (SD, hunting, trompin', etc) including a passel of Rugers, Smiths etc, but nothing with the feel, balance, pointablity, just-so action of an SAA. I would put a USFA in this category--close second just for not having the iconic name and prancing horse--I admit to having a warm 'n fuzzy for at least once...though arguably the USFA's otherwise empirically as good or even better in some regards, model/option availability, etc.. Still, the OP's talking "heart" here and for that there's just something about a good Colt.
