My wife prefers my Glock 27 for home defense. I have several other firearms that might be better suited for home defense, but the handguns all have external safeties. My wife doesn't want to have to worry about forgetting to flip any switches in an emergency, and she has had enough range time with the Glock to be comfortable with it.

Be it a wife or husband, being familiar and skilled with the gun being used is a matter of life and death ... not only in regard to the victim of the attack, but to innocents who may be in the fire zone! This ease of use is why a Glock or a DA Revolver is a good choice for the non-passionate and lesser skilled gun owner! Too complicated guns without extensive training is the home of errors, and errors are deadly when handling firearms.
If that is the Titanium model that is a tough gun for most folks to shoot well. I had a .41 mag. Titanium and it was real rough, and I love recoil ... I plink with a 500 S&W! My advice is not to mess with her!
