Which handgun do wished you had bought first?

Would have saved thousands of dollars in handguns and rifles if I had attended Gunsite under Jeff Cooper first.

Thought I was well read and experienced. Later discovered that I bought a lot of stuff that was unnecessary and a distraction.

After four weeks of training under Cooper was both a much better shot, better thinker, and would have ended up with a better collection of shooting guns.

Jeff Cooper is gone. But there must be schools that can provide proper training to set the stage for lifetime of utility and joy.

Sig P229. It ended up being my second gun, but of all my hand guns it is my favorite. It would have been sort of poetic if it were my first. My BHP which was actually my first wasn't a bad choice either.

My first handgun purchase was a good ol' blued steel & walnut 9mm Browning Hi Power almost 20 years ago.

It's always nice to hit a home run on the first swing :)

My first handgun purchase was a S&W M65-LS. 3" K-frame in .357. 14 years later I feel I made the right choice for a first gun.
