Which companies give out lifetime warranties?

I can attest to Ruger’s excellent customer service. About ten years ago I bought a used MkII at a gun show for I think around $75. The reason is was so cheap was because it looked like someone spilt a chemical on the barrel that ate off the bluing. Otherwise, the pistol looked great. I sent it to Ruger to have it reblued. They did an excellent job bluing it, replaced all springs, extractor and a new firing pin. My cost, $25. And they paid the return shipping.

I had $100 into the pistol. Shot it for 5 years, sold it for $200. One of the few times I came out ahead on a firearm. It paid off for Ruger. Since that time I have bought four new Ruger firearms.

Kimber does not have a lifetime warranty. They have a ONE YEAR WARRANTY. I was surprised wen I found that out. I expected more out of them.

"Kimber Mfg., Inc. firearms are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year after the date of original new gun retail purchase"

I really respect companies that step up and have lifetime warranty policies.

A warranty has a very specific set of legal and binding obligations for the manufacturer.

I don't worry about buying from a company like Ruger that offers no warranty.

First of all, it doesn't even sell any guns to people. It sells to a small number of wholesalers who sell to gun shops who sell to you.

If Ruger messes up, like it has in the past, to keep everyone in its food chain happy, it must fix its problems.
