Smith & Wesson model 18-4. Pinned and recessed. Bluing finish has lots of small blemishes throughout, but gun is mechanically fine. $400 FTF

Colt Woodsman mint, 2nd series made in 1951 with four magazines. $500 FTF

I would love to have both, but can only afford one.

Woodsman.............haha, looks like your responses are running about 50-50. You won't go wrong with either one.

Worst question I've ever seen

And I have 2 Woodsman’s, both 6", one a match target. But I really like those Smiths. Around here it is easier to find a Woodsman than a pinned-recessed Smith. Especially at that price.
I'd take the Smith.

The Woodsman hands down.

What a piece of artwork.

I like that Smith too but there are many like that model.

Not everyday you get a 57 year old Colt like that in that condition with all those accessories.

The Woodsman is a Second Series- arguably the most desirable of the Colt .22's due to it's 1911 style magazine release.

The brown plastic grips look to be the originals- the wood grips are from a Third Series and worth $50-70 by themselves.

I would beg, borrow and steal to get both- you won't find two finer examples of rimfire handguns at that price.

I'm a revolver guy.....

....but I inherited a 1953 vintage Woodsman exactly like the one pictured. As a family heirloom I would never consider selling it. Besides, it is very acurate. With those 3 extra magazines and wooden grips it's a heckuva deal. It's probably worth closer to, well, uh, who did you say has these guns?......;)
