Where do you keep your HD?

.38 on the nightstand. Every night since I've been a teenager. Wasn't always the same gun, but would be hard to sleep without one there.

Lol- I take the guns down, and store the bolts/slides in one safe, all the other pieces in another. And the ammo in a locker in the garage. just following the owners manuals recommendations!:D

Okay, I'll play:

Kahr K9 on me always, Witness .45 in the bathroom closet, Witness-P .45 w/ TLR3 on the nightstand, SW 19-3 at the desk (wedged between books), Mossy 590 under the bed, Beretta 92FS at the reloading bench, Springer Mil-Spec in the closet (between clothes). I think I have every room covered except the kitchen. Maybe put a pistol grip 870 I hardly use under the sink...

Recently seperated from the Corps, I feel naked without a gun always on me.

Semper Yut,
Lucky

PS Malamute, absolute gem of a collection. Just wow, sir.

I keep one on around the house and a couple here and there. Never took one in the shower though. :D

p.s. Chuck Norris sleeps with his pillow under his gun.

Bedside table or in my office. It just depends on my day. I will state that I have become lazy and on two occasions, I answered the door to a man who attempted to scam his way inside the house. While I was dealing with him I only had my OC spray on me. The solid core doors are good for security but when you open them, you are at risk.

Theres 3 handguns under the pillows. My M4 behind my bedroom door. My 12ga coachgun behind the front door. A 38spl in the dish rag drawer in the kitchen. A 44mag in my Lazyboy. A .380 under my couch cushion. My Winny .45colt M94 Trapper behind the kitchen/rear porch door. My Marlin 1893 32spl in the corner by the doorway between kitchen and livingroom.
Wow, I've been to Brookville. Has it gone to the dogs in the last 25 years? You would do us Detroiters proud, sir!;)

Heavily modded rem. tactical next to nightstand, hk in nightstand, sawn off 311a in desk drawer, kimber in kitchen drawer, gp100 under mattress, pt22 hidden in entertainment cente, 629 under middle bed pillow.

Well as of yesterday ive been keeping my CZ-75b on the other side of the bed, (as long as its not occupied of course.;)) And i got a glock 17 with a 33 rnd mag on my right night stand and my Gp100 6" and my .45 colt on the left stand. I have an Wasr-10 leaning against the wall on the right and a mossy 590 leaning against the wall on the left. I sleep on my side so which ever side i wake up on in a invasion situation ill grab those weapons pretty much. I also have a bunch of 4" .357 police trade ins i got a few years ago hidden all around the house along with a few 9mms and .380s as well... Who needs a Gunsafe when you live far from civilization, no children and several 100+ lb dobermans guarding your place. My whole house is my safe..

When i was growing up, I lived in a high crime area and had not a single firearm in the house besides a 12 guage with a insanely long barrel and locked in a closet. I felt vulnerable my entire childhood, Never again!

AR-15 and a .44 Mag in my safe in my room.

And two guard dogs that go into a beserk frenzy of barking if an ant steps within 100 yards of my property. :D

When I'm awake:
a GLOCK 29 on my hip with a 20 round magazine in a convenient location.

When I'm asleep:
Remington 870 in a Back-Up on one side of the bed.
GLOCK 20 with 6 inch barrel in a Night Sentry on the other.

Couldn't find a website for the Night Sentry:
Contact John Hawkes at Diamond Sentry Distributors, Black Diamond, WA 98010-0195, phone: (206) 604-2203.

I carry my CZ75B with me around the home. Yet that being said i am normal less than a few yards from my room if need be, where my trusty 870 remmy resides. I'ts loaded with 2 shells only a 3 1/2'' 00 backed by a 3 1/2'' slug.

The best place

..is on your body at all times around the house.

While you may have weapons accessible around the house, you still have to get to it. Keep in mind, you don't have to be carrying a cannon on you around the house - just something that you can use to fight your way to a bigger pistol then to a rifle/shotgun.

Then a P32 with a pocket clip or one of the NAA minis would serve your needs. They'll buy you precious seconds to get to a real HD gun.

<SNIP>See when im home, im relaxing and most often not wearing a belt/pants. More likely only Gym shorts or something comfortable.<SNIP>

Where do you keep your HD?

I know carry on person while home is the best option, but something about having a gun ON me while in my home, is something i just don't think ill ever do. Ever.

One in every room, and kitchen, out of sight but "in plain view" and 115lb ScHIII (training), German Shepherd is how i do things.:D

I don't keep firearms scattered around the house because I don't like the idea of someone finding firearms if they are in my house. That covers a nosy guest, friends of the children, or a bad guy -- either at night before he's discovered or any other time if he's in there by himself. So that covers guns in every room or guns near me at all times.

I do keep a gun near me -- if it's like most days when I'm dressed and carrying, then I'm just carrying. If I'm not carrying that day then I'll have an appropriate handgun placed in a high place on the main floor. If I leave the main floor for a task that's more than 5 or 10 minutes (say a loading session in the man cave) then it comes with me.

At bedtime, I open up the safe and put that carry gun in the safe, then take out the night time home defense gun and take it to bed. First thing up in the morning is shower, teeth brush, home defense gun in the safe and EDC out of the safe.
