Kel-tec.

I got a lot of brands - Kel-Tecs are inexpensive - mine work great but I've had friends that got one with a reliability problem now and then. They sent them back and quickly got a completely re-built gun that worked great. They are not pretty or expensive but they carry great and work great when properly adjusted. And their service is quick, easy and free. They are American - you can wave the flag and shoot your gun. What else matters?

TAURUS 94 REVOLVER: 15 years ago I didn't know any better, and bought one of these. In spite of a stiff hammer spring it would only set off about half the rounds. Sent it back and they increased the spring stiffness (!?) Still wouldn't shoot them all. Sent it back again and they stiffened the spring to where you could hardly pull the DA trigger. Gun was also grossly inaccurate = 5" at 25 yards in single action, from sandbags. Dealer refunded my money.

They were sued out of existence a while back when a babysitter accidently pulled the trigger and shot a kid in the face while trying to unload one.

Can't blame that on the gun. And anyway, what was her complaint? Stove-pipe the brass or what?

I am surprised at number of votes for Glock here.

However not surprised at all at Taurus.

I have really tried to like Taurus, but no luck with performance.

I think if Taurus improves QC, and may rise price, it will sell big time since they come up with new stuff all the time..though copied designs mostly, but still good lookers.

Talon T-100

Worst gun because it would missfeed at least 1 out of 5 rounds, that's 20% of the time. Also because Talon went out of business because so many people sued them after the slide broke in half in mid fire and broke a bunch of people's jaws.

It was my best investment though because I bought it for $50 and after hearing about the problems I sold it to a pawn shop that specifically markets to gang members for $175. That gave me enough to upgrade and I like the thought of some guy trying to do a drive by and having the slide crack him in the face.

Charter Arms

not sure of the model but it was a little .38spl...

it just had a horrible trigger pull and the cylinder release had a spring hanging out of it...

it showed up at one of my pistol safety classes years ago. it still gets talked about among myself and my buddy who used to help teach...

My dad has an old Llama .22 1911 style pistol. It's a POJ. But really, you don't expect much when you're going to shoot one of those things.

only gun i ever had a problem with i couldnt work out was a LLama 380. rapid disassembly of parts while shooting.

I voted other. My worst experience was with a Dan Wesson .357, I thought you were looking for worst experience and not worst gun so the Dan Wesson got my vote. The third shot out of the gun and the bullet partially nicked the forcing cone sending a tiny piece of metal into my right hand, and sending burned powder towards my face, I never fired it again.

AMT

Govt. model .45 Lovely looking gun with great features and zero reliability with ANY ammo. AMT's fix was also zero reliability.

My friend bought a sigma 9mm based on the price alone. And while I like S&W this pistol was a jam-o-matic it would fail to extract 2-3 times a magazine. Tried 8 diffrent types of ammo in it but it still failed.

The good thing is he pawned it to a pawn shop that didn't know any better and only lost 10 bucks on the deal.

Ruger. I had an SP101 that was a complete POS and now they just posted a recall for the LCP. I am still waiting for them to send me the info. for mailing it back to them.
