Sterling .22lr semi-auto

My dad bought it in the early 80's......................2' groups at 10 yds, seemed like it jammed every other shot, grip too small, pain in the butt to clean, always blew chinks of lead in your face, rough fit and finsh.......after a few years it became a target for a Redhawk and what is left now hangs on the wall over my dads reloading bench. Not sure if it is a reminder to him that you get what you pay for, or a warning to the other firearms to behave themselves.........or else.

There are a couple of Lorcin .380s in a local pawn shop that look just like plastic toy guns. I understand they're notorius for falling apart after a couple of magazines. True 'Saturday Night Specials', by the look and reputation.

Phoenix Arms HP-22. An absolute waste of $129. Refused to feed at least half the time. In a fit of rage, I threw it into the Coosa River

i had the slide crack on mine

i had only had it for a month or so. it was a great plinker up until then

Jennings

What piece of @^$# the only ammo this little 22lr would feed with out a jamming is CCI 22LR STINGER. Still have just because once a purchase a firearm I can not bring myself to sell it.

I have owned two Lugers: One was a DWM 1926 Commercial variant in .30 Luger, the other was a Stoeger American Eagle Luger in 9mm. I was told the DWM was a 9mm, and didn't know any better. long story short; the ammunition was expensive and didn't work well. The magazine was also set up to where the spring would hang up on the magazine catch at the last round, preventing the last round from being chambered.
I called that pawnshop earlier today, and they told me that there is no such thing as .45 Schofield.

Sterling rifles; the most frustrating guns I have ever used they must have weak firing spring cos they for ever miss fire. and are the world heavy weight champion;s for jamming up..

The Kimber Eclipse II Ultra. The gun jammed constantly, they never could fix it so I got rid of it. BTW the Kimber service department people are not good either.

Rossi Commanchee III, by far the biggest POS gun I've ever owned. :barf::barf: I owned one for about 24 hrs, bought it at a gun show, sold it to a local shop the next day. I mean, when a REVOLVER jams (wouldn't eject shells), what else can you say? :barf:

Not sure how accurate this poll can really be.

For example, a low number with one gun can represent a much higher % of dissatisfied customers than it would for a more common gun.

Arminus .38 Special

Yes, a German made P.O.S.~! Another division of RG, I believe~?

FYI: Back when I was young and dumb I bought it NIB for $42.50 from K-Mart, so that ought too tell you something~!

First Response

I realize this post was started back last May, but I'm new here and see folks are still responding to it, so here's my .02. Just like in the automobile industry, you stand the chance of a lemon right out of the gate! Then you have your die hard fans of a certain brand, that are ready to throw blows even if you mention something derogatory about there beloved brand. That said, I read one response on the 40cal Baby Eagle, which I own and enjoy shooting. Never one FTF or FTE, ever, and have a few thousand rounds through that pistol. Same goes for the Kel Tec P11, Bersa Thunder 9UC, and Bersa Thunder 380. Recently purchased those three and have put 400-600 through all of them, and had only one FTE on the BT9UC, which was a result of limp wristing a JHP round. Never one problem with any of the pistols I've mentioned feeding ball ammo from all major ammo makers. I will admit, that I have dismantled and polished all my pistols, followed by a thorough cleaning and proper lubrication, prior to firing any of them. Now to address the Bryco/Jennings J22. I purchased this pistol to keep in my tackle box on my boat, figured 40 bucks for a pistol wouldn't be a loss if everything got tossed overboard, boy was I correct in that assumption! I completely agree with everyone that has had negative feedback on this little POS! Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe week! Happy Holidays!

Gyrojet pistol. When the round ignited(rocket rounds) it would zip out of the barrel and went whichever way that it felt like going. If it went into dried grassy areas, you could bet on a fire getting started too.:barf:
