For Mike Irwin: would you be willing to share the recipes for the onion white and the port wine bleu cheese breads? You can send them via e-mail, if you wish. I suspect our door is going to get slammed shortly, 'cause this thread is getting loooooong.
Yep, will e-mail the onion bread tonight, I know it off the top of my head.

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

Cliff....have you read Queens Die Proudly about the B-17 bombers in the Pacific campaign? My Dad had told me about it years ago since he knew the Flying Fortress was my favorite plane, but we were never able to find a copy of the 50+ year old book. I finally found a copy online at a used book store last year. It was great to be able to share it with my Dad! :)
Ottergal - Hadn't heard of that one! Another one to add to the "look for" list. :)

I know how difficult finding some of these books can be. Ballantine Books published a bunch of paperbacks in the '60's - "Thunderbolt", "Fork-Tailed Devil: The P-38" and "Squadron Airborne" are just a few that I've tracked down in used book stores.

Nothing so fun as leaving a bookstore with a freshly discovered $0.25 treasure. :D

My hobby is going to Wal Mart. I am not kidding, one of us in the family goes at least 3 times a week!!!!!!

I am a couch potato. I love old comedy shows, sitcoms and movies. I HATE serious stuff, and the more I can laugh, the better the mood.
I like to ride bicycles, love basketball, chasing the wife around, and watching my kids grow.
I'll have a new driver in the family soon,(stepson) a new high schooler(daughter) and a new first grader (son). They are my hobby.

I am so proud of my post! I love reading every bit of it. I would hate for it to die but if it must at least it is large.

Blue cheese bread?!? That sounds like it would go great with a porterhouse or filet. If you get the time e-mail me the recipe Mike (please... please...please). My bread hasn't gone very far past the bread machine and the bakeing stone For blue cheese I will learn. I love the stuff. My fiancee gets mad at me because I order blue cheese dressing on the side and just eat the dressing.

Also, in my first post I left out dogs. How could I forget them? Right now I have a black Lab who is (suprise) a loaf of bread, but I love him. My real love is Wiemars though. Right now I don't have time to keep up with one.
