What's your hobby?

Aside from shooting, I was into softball and drag racing.Gave up softball as it seemed it was headed in a much to serious direction of competition.Have not been to the drag strip this year due to "murphy's law'.Put new motor in car and its been downhill since.Messed up trans and now it appears the "posi" in the rear end has gone "kapooey".Oh well, I'll just keep plugging. Good day to all.

-HOCKEY! (playing, watching, coaching, etc.)
-Dogs (loving, walking, training, etc.)
-Music, esp. C&W, movies, some electronics, and weight-lifting, too. Snow skiing when I can. Plan to take up reloading soon. Gave up on trying to find a mate around here. Can't afford motorcycles at this time, though they are still a hobby in my dreams. May start hunting someday.

Aside from firearms, primarily reading (firearms, history, buckskinning, nautical and aeronautical). Gunsmithing from flintlocks to modern firearms. Writing and research. Can't forget fishing & hunting (after all, they're related to the outdoors). Bicycle and wilderness hiking.

Geez, a lot of folks hobbies sound much more aerobic than mine. Maybe that's why I can't breath ;) .

Next to shooting, motorcycling is #1. During the summer months it _is_ #1. Politics is second (watching the political shows is a good distraction while prepping brass).

Mostly raising my son. When he and the wife let me, I usually read. Right now I'm reading "Mao on Guerilla Warfare", Griffin's "The Aviators", and "Patriot Games". I also like camping, fishing, movies, and music. Parenthood cuts down on most outdoor activities right now though.

We need more of the "wimminfolk" and their hobbies!
Mine is making old fashioned handmade quilts. I occasionally try to make a little money with them, but I mostly make them for myself and my own enjoyment.

Creating and working with bonsai. I also write books and magazine articles, but I am trying to make a profit there so perhaps that is really not a hobby.

Aside from shooting,
1 Amateur Radio (Callsign KC8PAT)
2 Radio Control Cars
3 Discovery & History Channels, TLC on TV
4 Internet
5 SoftAirguns and Blankgun Replica collecting
6 Flight Simulator Computer Games

Aside from many money-sucking shooting endeavors, I also love working on and fourwheeling my Land Cruisers. The hoarde is growing...

When I'm not actually working, I study and teach primitive living skills (i.e., hide tanning, shelters, woodworking). Also love to blacksmith (pounding the Devil's Bone), but had to part with my gear some time ago and don't have the time to get back into it.

Photography, chasing women, reading voraciously (gotta love Homer), drinking beer (why brew your own when all those hard working folks are already doing it for you?), hunting deer and trying to hunt turkeys. There are other things, but I have to go chase some women.

Environmental Education

I would ultimately like to combine the hobbies into an environmental education job.... :)

Other than shooting? Shooting IS a full time hobby! :)

As time allows, when I'm not at work and all of the household and yard chores are done -

Camping (the further away from the Bay Area, the better.)

Reading (Military history, particularly enamored of WWII aviation.)

Walking or hiking. (Got to do more)

My interests are constrained only by the lack of available time.

Cliff

Cliff....have you read Queens Die Proudly about the B-17 bombers in the Pacific campaign? My Dad had told me about it years ago since he knew the Flying Fortress was my favorite plane, but we were never able to find a copy of the 50+ year old book. I finally found a copy online at a used book store last year. It was great to be able to share it with my Dad! :)

I bake bread.

I grow roses.

I write.

I have two dogs.

I read as much as I can.

I refinish old furniture.

I collect postcards of where I went to college.

I collect prints by an artist named Haskell Coffin.

Lemme see....

Surfing the Net
Reading (have been hip-deep into William Johnstone lately)

That's about it as far as things that aren't gun-related in any way.

(except for that thing that married people do, but my wife would kill me if I put that out here...)
