^ I wish. Now everyone and his cousin makes a polymer striker fired browning tilting barrel pistol. I carry one of those so I can't really complain, but it sure bores me when I'm at the gun store.
I'd be overrun by the screaming sword waving hordes while I'm still dithering around opening gun cases, unable to select one or the other or the other or . . . .
Best to just reach for the Remington 870 and a shoulder satchel heavy with 12 gauge shells. Only have one shotgun so no dithering.
It all depends on the war. War can happen in different ways and in different places. An open field with machine guns is one thing. Bombs falling from the sky and drones buzzing around is another. However, there are plenty of circumstances where a good pistol can do a lot of good. Since the hypothetical circumstances of this thread involve all of us--imagine the diversity of that roster!--stepping up with just what we happen to own... I'm guessing even a homemade spear would be worth something.
Hopefully, that kid with the airsoft gun near the beginning of this thread has upgraded over the course of the last few years...
