What's the biggest pistol you've ever carried concealed?

The biggest I've ever carried concealed is a 7.5" Ruger Super Blackhawk in an Uncle Mike's Sidekick holster with its own Sidekick belt. I carried it crossdraw under an oversized hunting jacket last year when we were cruising the woods during the deer season. Several times I'd forget that I had it on when we stopped into a rural diner for lunch.

Of course, being in the rural deep South, if anyone noticed it, they'd likely not say a thing.

I once concealed my 6" S&W 686. It is too big to carry often, but it can be done. As far as regular carry, a 5" 1911 can be pulled off very easily.

S&W 29 (original recipe) - 8 3/8ths inch bbl, Bianchi X15 shoulder holster, carried about 6 or seven times over the course of 3 months, novelty wore off real quick, (when - 1979 )

This around my neck under a leather duster.

Back in the 70's some of us in our "Dirty Harry" phase carried large revolvers.

Mine was a S&W 6 inch model 19 in a Safariland shoulder holster. But not for long. At 5' 9" and about 155 lbs. I soon went back to my model 36 snub in a paddle holster.

I once carried a 7-1/2" Super Blackhawk concealed through the house.

I don't have to do that anymore since I no longer fear telling the missus what I've bought. ;)

Depends on how you define biggest. But I've carried a 6" Smith 14 or a 4" Redhawk OWB at diffferent times. IWB I've carried a Para P14 5". I'm looking ffor a holster for a 5.5" SA revolver when I get it at some point I supose my 475 BFR will find itself in it:eek:
