What's the biggest pistol you've ever carried concealed?

I have in the past managed to conceal my S&W 25-5 with 8 3/8" barrel in an Uncle Mike's shoulder holster. It wasn't comfortable at all and I eventually gave the holster to a friend with a Ruger Redhawk in .454 Casull. The only reason for concealing it was when stopping at the store for a snack or drink before going in the woods hunting.

HK MP5, but not in its pocket holster like you see here, but in a shoulder holster with a double reload on the off side.

Normally, I carry full sized pistols, over the years, Government and Commander 1911's, SIG' P226 and P229's, and Glock 17's were the ones Ive used the most, but there were a few others as well. Ive also been partial to S&W 4" Model 28's and Model 29's.

What is the biggest gun I ever CCWed?

A .44 Magnum.
I carried a 7 1/2 inch Ruger Super Blackhawk. It was comfortable in a
Bianchi shoulder holster.
The kicker to this I'm left handed but, the holster was right handed.
A "flip" was what I used to draw the gun.

concealing large handguns

I'm 6 ft 4 and 240 lbs so I can hide bigger guns when dressed appropriately.

I've carried a M1911, Beretta 92F, Sig 226, S&W 15 and a Ruger Security Six concealed. In all cases I had both a good quality leather OWB holster and a Galco shoulder holster, and used both modes of carry. At my size, I'm thick through the chest and a horizontal carry shoulder holster worked fine.

(Nowadays I usually carry a Kahr P9 or K9 or a 3 inch S&W Chief's Special)

1911a1 and 2 extra magazines, when Ronald Reagan was in Venice Italy in 1987, the only time I ever carried concealed in the Navy.

Kimber Pro Carry HD 4 inch barrel, length is not a problem, just a little heavy at times. But a good holster evens out the load:D

My FN Fiveseven OWB. Its so light that it does not weight you down but trying to drive is a PITA. :D Although I usually carry a CW9 or LCR.

I carried a S&W M-24 .44 Special with a 6" barrel in a somewhat modified, muzzle down, shoulder rig...kept it out of the snow and slop for a cpl of deer and elk seasons when I was still heading west each fall. I found that the sweat generated by a flat-lander mushing around at 10,000 +feet elevation can be detrimental to a blued finish. I caught it in time, but really wanted a SS model...and that's been accomplished with a SS Ruger Flat Top in...ta da...what else....44 Special. Rod

My Dan Wesson VBob is as large and heavy as I care to try. It does fine for carry though, despite its heft. I only carry it when I wear a coat which is about a month or two a year. I have also carried a fullsize P99 iwb and was surprised at how easy it was. But I wear shorts and a t-shirt so much that my 640 S&W is my main carry weapon.
