My Glocks in general have been reliable, even bought used, with the exception of my former Glock 42. The Glock 19 simply feels better and handles better than my 22s, and I think Glock handles 9mm recoil the best.
I have been impressed by the perfect functioning of my Berettas, but find the long first trigger pull hard to shoot with, and dislike the push-up-to-fire decocking safety.
Very hard to get to one. Have had many that have been outstanding. Best center-fire Smith 952. Trigger you cannot improve on, sights you can't improve, outstanding fit and finish. Accuracy under 2" groups @ 50 yards.
Many great rim fire pistols and it is even harder to decide. Benelli mod 90 World Cup or High Standard Trophy. The Benelli everything is adjustable and the High Standard you can take out of the box, oil it and just hit whatever you aim at.
best out of the box....Browning High Power.....all three of them I have now...
but it is always a personal choice....I have seen/watched others...with their brand new....(fill in blank)....choice...which are listed with all the above posters.....fail to function...
The walther ppq m2 .40 i had was almost perfect, but the factort sights where terrible. I replaced them and put talon grips on the pistol and then loved it. Had to sell it. So sad
That's easy: Browning Hi-Power Mk.II. Big improvements in terms of better sights, better trigger pull, and better thumb safety (ambidextrous as well), over previous models I have used. Already had great ergonomics to begin with and has been super reliable with any 9mm. ammo I have run through it.
Me too. This is my Browning H.P. in 9MM. I swapped out the hammer for a rowell/burr/"commander" style hammer after I bought it. It functions (notice I did not use "runs"), 100% even using hand loads.
