What was your first shotgun?

My first gun was a used Westernfield ( montgomery wards I think ) in a 16ga Bolt Action from my grandfather. I still have it. The first shotgun I bought new for myself was a Browing BPS 12 ga ( and I still have that one too ) .......

my first was Mossberg 500 pump, then i couldn't wait till i got a Topper Deluxe Classic single shot---wierd-huhh?

Mine was a Stevens model 94 20 gauge single shot. My dad gave it to me when I was 9. With it I killed my first squirrel, rabbit, quail and deer. It was then passed to my son and is now waiting to be used by my first grandson.

my first shot gun

Last year i bought a Mossberg Maverick 12gauge Black 20". Came with a pistol grip, real stock and a magazine limiter thing. Thought it was an ok deal for 250.

Mine was a mossberg 500 w/syn black stock. It served me well for over 10 years of using the heck out of it. But like a dummy I traded it. I guess I can get a new one theyre pretty inexpensive.

H&r

H&R Topper Junior 20ga. Loved it! Lost in burglary. Bought another just like it as soon as I turned 18 (so many many years ago).

stevens model 58 20gauge bolt action with 2 round clip

still have it and it kicks like a mule! 32 inch barrel with extra full choke. really knock the geese and turkeys down. When I shoot it I need to keep a hand on the clip otherwise it will fall out possibly. Learned to shoot doves with it and I can cycle through the 3 rounds (1 in the chamber 2 in the clip) faster than I can with my 870 or mossberg 500 and still hit every thing I shoot at wtih 2 shots or less.

My first shotgun was taller than I was. It was a Ithica model 37. I got it so long ago that you did not need a permit to buy a shotgun in New York City and we took it home on the subway (try that now).

When I was 12 my Uncle bought me a New England Firearms .20 gauge single shot, that was my first. All the small game around my house in NY learned to fear it quickly. I still have it and plan to pass it on to my kids in the future.

Rem. 11-87

I bought my son an 11-87 Premier recently. Since he's not crawling yet, I figure I'll break it in for him for a couple years... :D

daddy's 1100, then when i was 12 my own 1100 lt20 mag. then a 870 for turkeys and deer, then my new old grade III citori. this seems a dangerous cycle!:D

Mossberg 195K bolt action 12 GA.

At age 18 this was my first firearms purchase and the only one until the 686+ joined it 34 years later.

At that age my funds were just about enough to pay for this "all around" firearm ($49 from Sears and Roebuck), a 1X Weaver scope, swing off mount and installation, a few boxes of rifled slugs and a cleaning kit.

Still have it.

My dad gave me a mossberg 500 when i was 12... still have it (sold it once, but individual passed away and I was able to buy it back) I guess that makes it 18 years old.... and I bet you couldn't tell by looking at it.
Do you remember your first gun, how diligently you cleaned it after first shooting it... i remember.

First one I owned was an Iver-Johnson 12ga single shot with an 8"bbl and a wood pistol grip.

First legal one was an 870P (and I still own it, 31 years later).
