What was your first shotgun?

Out of curiosity, what was everyone's first shotgun? I'm thinking first to own, but you can also post the first you used as well... all input welcome!

First I owned was a used 870 Wingmaster. Wonderful gun!

First I shot, however, was an 870 Turkey Express... followed closely by an NEF single-shot .410. Both a lot of fun, for different reasons completely.

When I was 12 years old my dad gave my an Ithaca model 37 featherweight 20 gauge for Christmas. Still got it.:)

my first is an 870 express super mag. having lots of fun with it so far. a certain person on this board made me want to get a wingmaster classic trap after shooting his wingmaster w/30" barrel...

my first shotgun

My first was an old but 95% savage 311a sxs 20 ga. Man I wish I still had it.
then an old savage 77 in 12 ga

The first one I hunted with was an H&R 16 gauge single shot. I may have fired other shotguns before but memory's dim.

That 16 took a lot of game over the decades. It had been my father's first shotgun, gifted in 1928 by his grandfather, and fed the family through the Depression.

I started a little later than most of you. I was 22 years old and bought a used 1100. I still have it, and still like it.

Hi guys, this is my first post.
And it's about my first shotgun. How appropriate:)

Anyways, It was a H&R single shot .410. I got it when I was about 10.
Still sitting in the safe back home. It got handed down to my brothers.

First used: Savage Model 24 (?) combo-gun, .22lr on top, 20 gauge on the bottom (it was my father's).

First bought: NEF 'Pardner' 12 gauge, a.k.a. the 'Shoulderbreaker.' :D I still get a kick (no pun intended) when those empty shells fly out of the action when it is opened, sort of like firing some wierd artillery. My own 'bloop-tube.'

Sweet 16 was the first actual firing model

My grandfather's CG Bonehill SxS was my first shotgun
Damascus barrles splitting at the weld, no firing pins cause I was only 8 and would have tried to fire it anyway.
Gave it away to my 12 year old future BIL, during my short stint as an anti, converting him to a lifetime son of the second

I used to miss it but I still get a kick every time I hear him called "Randy the Redneck Rican", and get that look from his mother.

First fired: Mossberg 20 pump, I think at 14 years old. Fun.
Second fired: A side by side 20, I think another Mossberg. I didn't enjoy that experience. The rubber recoil pad was so old it was probably harder than the wood stock. Ouch. At least it wasn't pointed.

First owned: Just got a Mossberg 590 and have loved every minute since. Looks like I need to add some brand variety to my experience. Those Remingtons and Benellis sure are smooth; I could use some of those.

A Springfield 511 side by side 16 guage - it's basically just a Stevens 311 under alias. Got some bad press at times but I took a lot of ducks and pheasants with it between 1933 and 1950. It was certainly reliable for me.

:)

My grandfather gave me his old Savage-Stevens 12 ga single shot for my 12th birthday. Dad's been jealous ever since... Twas the gun he grew up shooting. Me too...

My first shotgun was a LAW-12 SAS. I never fired the weapon :o

Sold it for a profit and replaced it with an HK/Benelli M1 S90.

First - Grandad's 16ga Long Tom single shot - took forever to even find ammo for it around here. This was before the 16ga. made a modest comeback. Seldom fired but does launch those empties when opened. Like Leif said, it's like lobbing mortars.

First that I bought and shot the snot out of - Early 90's 870 12 ga. Express. This is now my primary loaner gun. Smooooooooooooth runnin' gun.
