What the heck

Ok this is going to be a hard one (maybe)
This 52 caliber round is the back side of the case and was used on what civil war multiple fire weapon?

GarandTd I thought that one would be harder than that. Way to go.
The attached photo is a photo of the Billinghurst Requa battery gun.
It was a 52 cal with 25 heavy barrels.

Mike Irwin, correct sir.
It was invented by Chief of ordnance Major General Gen Josian Gorgas.
The caliber was 1.25 inches. There were 18 copper lined muzzle chambers on the out side ring and 18 corresponding procession cap nipples on the inner.
As the crank was rotated the chambers rotated to line up with the barrel and an inner cam would cause the hammer to hit the percussion cap setting the gun off.

GarandTd, Very good sir.
The Salvator Dormus was a heavy machine gun also known as the Skoda M1893. It was Austro Hungarian in origin.
I was patented by Archduke Kral Salvator of Austria and Count von Dormus.
It was chambered in the 8X50mmR round and fed from an over head magazine. There was a pendulum adjustment in the trigger mechanism that allowed the operator to select the cycle rate of fire, anywhere from 180 to 250 rounds per minute

Greatest sci-fi movie ever filmed, an incredible combination of sci-fi and film noir.

I've not watched it this month. I think I'll make myself a pizza and watch it tonight.

And yes, it's a Pflager-Katsumata D, or PKD.

It was never identified as such in the movie, but that was a name attached to it in the early days of the web, apparently as a means of honoring Philip K. Dick by getting his initials in there.

Yea I know, Blade runner, been buisy and haven't had time to research more.
But then again it is my favorite movie also.

Ulrice, Good one sir.
Nordenfelt model 1873 machine guns
The gun fired a 1 inch solid steel bullet with hardened tip and brass jacket. It was non explosive because of the 1868 Petersburg declaration of 1868 that exploding shells weighing less than 400 grams were not allowed between the "signatory" nations
The following is one being fired
