Agreed. It's a shot flask, not a powder flask.

That one appears to use dual gates to measure out a very specific amount of shot.

Some of them were even adjustable so that the amount of shot released could be varied.

They could be used for powder, but the traditional use with that kind of mechanism was shot.
 
This is a percussion powder testing used during the civil war.

Not much is known about this break-open single-shot shotgun pistol. It’s supposedly Chinese and presumed to be homemade.

Burrhead, even your web site called alloutdoor says its Chinese.
 
No one got the last one right so its a
Pre WW 2 Diana model 27 air rifle. If I remember correctly it was built around 1927.
