357 LCR and a Smith & Wesson Model 36 in 28 spl - regardless of the hammer on the 36, I find it a good carry in my jacket pocket -LCR is nice but I really prefer the J frame

I guess you have never ran across a mouse on crystal meth or crack. I cop buddy of mine put twelve 9mm rounds and two 12 gauge shots in one and he still didn't go down. With the drugs these mice are on there is no such thing as knockdown power

The S&W 340PD. .38/.357. I carry it in a Kramer pocket holster, and on the belt IWB in a Milt Sparks Versa Max rig. A Bianchi wallet/clip goes along ,giving me 11 total rounds of Speer 38 SPL+P 135 grain GDHP.
True Pocket Pistols
I am not getting into the snub nose .38 or similar size semi autos. I own several Colts and S&Ws along with a couple of Walthers. But, to me a true pocket pistol is one designed for pocket carry and deep concealment. My favorites are:
1. The NAA Black Widow in .22 Mag/.22 LR. The reliability of a revolver with a magnum punch. The two inch heavy barrel, enhanced sights and over sized grips make this little gun a real winner. At 15 yards I can get 2-3 inch groups easy. Carries as easy as a pocket knife and is really a high quality little gun. This is the one gun that goes in my pocket daily. I originally bought one in .22 LR. When I got it home my wife wanted it - so I wound up buying another in .22 Mag/.22 LR. Talk about a precision build!!! Our first trip to the range I had left my .22 LR cylinder at home. While loading, I dropped my wife's cylinder into my gun and the lock up and indexing were perfect. Both are new production guns with only a couple of hundred numbers off in the serial range.

2. My Beretta Model 21A in .22 LR has been a long time performer and staple to my pocket collection. Reliable and pure Beretta quality. I have owned this gun for over 16 years with no issues. I had it originally, my wife used it as a car gun for several years, then my daughter carried it for a short time, and it is now back in my use. Runs with just about every type of ammo I've put through it. Very accurate for a small pocket pistol. The tip-up barrel makes for easy and safe loading and unloading.

3. NAA Guardian in .32 ACP. This little gun has run flawlessly with Remington FMJ, Fiochhi FMJ, Winchester FMJ, Federal Hydra Shoks HP, and Prvi Partisan FMJ. I usually carry this little jewel in an ankle holster, but I have used an Uncle Mike's No1 Pocket holster with it. Same high quality as any NAA and is built along the Seecamp design. The only issue I have ever had with this gun is the drawbar spring broke once. NAA sent me a new spring and I was up and running in less than a week. At 10 yards and closer this gun will give 4-5 inch (fist size) groups. Given the almost non-existent sights, that's not bad.

4. American Derringer M1 in .45 LC/.410. This is the Hoss of the stable. I've had this gun for over 20 years. It has accompanied my on numerous trips through the woods. With .410 field shot it will make short work of snakes. The .45 LC is a hand full. I load mine with black powder and it's more fun than the 4th of July. The deep throated boom along with the flame and smoke always brings smile on the range. With .000 Buck it's a pretty effective little SD gun at 7-10 yards and in. The .45 LC also prints well on the target at 7-10 yards. It would not be my first choice of pocket guns, but, this one definitely has a home. The pre-ban elephant ivory grips were my upgrade.

The only gun I'm comfortable carrying in my pocket is my Ruger LCP. Any thing bigger doesn't work for me as a pocket gun.
