What is your 'perfect' home defense handgun?

If I'm awake, then whichever gun I happen to be carrying is my first choice. That's usually my pt111 g2. For sleepy time defense, I keep my P-07 by the bed. I don't use a suppressor in either situation. It's just not practical on a carry gun, and for the bedside gun, I keep my electronic ear protection right next to the gun. There are three benefits to that for me:
1 no damage to my ears
2 more disorienting/disabling for the bad guy, even if I miss
3 enhanced hearing gives me an advantage

+1 on the FNX-45 with Osprey 45 and RMR
I have the same one but in black
15+1 in 45ACP

sure to make a bad day for a BG

This is actually the gun my instructor suggested. However, I saw some reliability issues and some guy squeeze the magwell and made it look like silly putty so I dismissed it since ultra reliability is going to be crucial for anything I am using for HD.

My first choice for home defense is a 12 gauge pump but if it comes down to 7 00 buck rounds not being enough my 1911 in .45 ACP would be the one to get me to the next shotgun.

FNX-45 w/ Trijicon RMR with co-witnessing night sights, Streamlight TLR-1, a suppressor, and several 15 round magazines loaded with Federal HST .45 ACP 230 grain standard pressure JHP rounds.

Might no go over well with the jury, but I don't think you could ask for a more effective home defense pistol, and the suppressor would limit hearing damage.

What firearms in bedroom ?

His and hers Beretta 92 FS's ( Mine blued, hers INOX), 4 9MM 15 rd Beretta mags and a Winchester 12 GA with 00 Buck. Should do the trick.

I'd use my EDC CZ PCR 9mm as I made my way to my CZ SP-01 tactical and SCAR17. Not perfect, but as close as I can get...

You should watch the update video then. Apparently, it was a defect in the polymer and as far as his reliability was concerned, he said the mag wouldn't drop freely. Seems like the gun fired fine even with the magwell flex of the defective one. FN sent him a new gun.
