I carry my XD-45 and enjoy shooting it, its a wonderful SD pistol, but I voted revolver as my favorite because my strongest feelings are with my Super Blackhawk. There's just something about the feel of a good single action that I don't get with anything else. I guess that you could say my XD-45 is my favorite tool, since it does what its designed for extremely well, but my RSB is my favorite pistol just because:)

Even though I am a revolver fan. My perfect handgun is the HK USP .45 it fits my hand perfectly. functions the best. good sights. trigger. recoil. never a malfuntion. For one reason or another I can shoot like a pro with that gun.

whichever one I have with me at the time that I need it, most likely a semi-auto, 1911 or Beretta, but could also be a glock or a Sig.

Then again, I love my revolvers too, that's why gun ownership isn't like marriage, you CAN have your cake and eat it too... :D

She'll get a good field test at the range this weekend, but here's the new one. So---same thing (SW40VE to a SW40G). Just a new look :D (not that it matters since I'm the only one who sees it, but it's the principle of the matter---and a good excuse to pick up the new G model)

I find myself getting more and more away, from the bottom feeding handguns. I like the .44mag and my 629, but love the .357mag in an L-Frame. Namely a
4" 686P(7-shot).
Night stand, CCW, woods carry, deer, hog,and black bear hunting. It can do it all.

WOW!!
If I had kids, it's like asking me which one I like best.
.510 Ruger Maximum
.475 JRH Magnum in FA 83, target grade, and accuracy.
.45/454 Seville, with super strong 6 shot cylinder
Kimber Custom II in 45 Super
Kimber Ultra Carry II, in 45 Super
My darling for pocket carry
Smith and Wesson 360PD.
My 22's, etc.

When the circumstances are dire, the handgun I'd want to be clutching is my good old 4" S&W M28-2 loaded with Remington 158grn SJHP and another HKS Speedloader full of the same close by. I have more confidence in six BIG KABOOMS than I do in sixteen little pops.

My Glock 30

riding in a Crossbreed IW holster behind my right hip. I'm wearing an untucked polo shirt at work, and no one has the slightest idea I'm carrying.

I have both a 45 acp and a 9 mm glock.

I love my 45 acp no doubt about that. However, i think that people underestimate the effectiness of the 9 mm round. To me firing both all the time, my 45 makes bigger holes no doubt about that, however my 9 mm rounds move so fast and will go so far inside a bg I don' feel bad about either handgun. i often test both by taping two huge phone books together and hitting them with both rounds. Both rounds go all the way through the phone books and do some awesome damage coming out the back. However, i guess it depends on the ammo as well. However, i think my 9 mm will outpenatrate my 45 in most cases using ball ammo. Due it's higher speeds and size of the bullet. I know in WWII the 9 mm would most often penatrate are soldiers helmets and the 45 would also bouce off. I guess the point i'm making is don't underestimate the 9 mm round. It's deadly in most cases and I know a forest ranger in Alaska who killed a large Kodiak brown bear with a 9 mm round, of course he shot the bear in it's open mouth and the round went right through the bear's brain killing it instantly. I'm not saying that the 9 mm round is for bear hunting, of course it's not. However, the 9mm can kill with the best of them.
