I'm not sure which gun it is, but it's a 22, that much is for sure. Probably my Model 17-3 Smith and Wesson. That gun shoots well enough that it makes me look like I know what I'm doing at times.

My favorite gun is my Springfield TRP 1911. Fits my hand well, shoots well and is totally reliable. I carry it whenever possible but hot, humid summer months make it a little harder to do so.

My favorite summer carry piece is my Ruger LCP. That gun is so easy to conceal and carry that it has pretty much replaced my S&W 637 as my main summer carry.

My favorite is my Ruger P90DC. It is reliable, low recoil, double or single action which I like.

I really enjoy my Glock 19. Carry it all the time (even at 9:39 AM on a Monday morning sitting in my house; like right now.)

My S&W Model 15,,,

It just fits my hand perfectly,,,
I am more accurate with that gun than any other.

I pick up other revolvers and may or may not like the feel,,,
But that K-Frame .38 just seems made for me.

I may be a better shot with it than my other center fire handguns because I also own the Model 18 which is the identical handgun except that it is chambered in .22 LR.

Because the .22 LR ammo is so cheap I shoot the Model 18 quite a bit,,,
I go through 200-250 rounds with it and a 50 round box of .38 every time I go out.

It's just a theory of mine,,,
Your mileage may vary.

My favorite changes from time to time. Usually to whatever is newest or whatever I have forgotten about for a while and just gotten back out of the old safe.

Presently, my Ruger SP101 in .327. I love the size of this gun, the weight feels right, yet it carries easily. The 3" barrel makes it shoot easily, and ability to shoot any of 5 catridges of .32 caliber makes it a good gun to train my trigger control using various power loads. The wood grips make it a sweet revolver.

Its hard to get past a good 1911, though I prefer Para's LDA trigger on them. I like long triggers after shooting revolvers so much.

My favorite is not yet specifically available.

After 35 years of shooting and carrying handguns, I am most pleased with the 1911 format and operation (cocked-and-locked carry; crisp SA trigger; etc.), but I prefer 9mm to .45 for a variety of reasons. Yes, 9mm 1911s are available, and I own quite a number of them, but I also want higher capacity than what is offered by a singe-stack mag. Yes, double-stack 9mm 1911s are available, but are priced higher than I prefer. I can buy one if I wished; I just don't wish to pay the price.

So, in summary, my favorite handgun would be a lightweight, 9mm 1911 with a double-stack magazine. Cheap.

In the absence of that specific gun, my solution has been to find the format closest to the 1911 in double-stack 9mm, reasonably priced, and that gun is represented by a number of CZ products based on the model 75 design.

My current carry and shooting gun is the CZ P-07 Duty, and it comes as close to my favorite gun as currently possible. I would like a more prominent manual safety so I can "ride" the safety with my strong thumb, but maybe that will come later as an option.

Ruger's SR9 also comes close, but its manual safety needs some work as well.

The Taurus products are out there. STI has a plastic gun that I have not tried that is a possibility.

But eventually, my favorite gun will be available. Until then, I will keep shooting and enjoy the guns I have.

Of ones I have: three way tie:

- "4th" (late 3rd) Gen Colt SAA in .44 Special (rare/non-catalogued--not a .44-40 convertible though could be made so). Because it's perfect: perfect balance, perfect grip, perfect pointing, ease and smoothness of operation, favorite revolver round, and reeks of history in a new gun. USFA "Pre-War" could be this as well if this weren't available (close to the truth!), but this is what I've got and it is a Colt on top of.
- Pre-lock/pre-transfer bar Smith 65LS (Lady Smith)--LS a unique "K" combo of 3", fixed sights, full lug/shroud, satin stainless. DA revolver "quasi" carry pieces don't get any better than this.
- Ruger Single Six .32 H&R Mag "Vaquerito"--standard plowhandle (Birdshead a close 2nd). Centerfire shooting doesn't get any more fun than this, in the venerable, handy Single Six frame to boot. Just enough (but you definitely know) pop assures you it ain't no .22__ - anything.

If had to choose one, practical reasons winning out - the Smith 65LS.

Of ones I don't have?
- Auto: Ed Brown Special Forces Carry (Bobtail) - 1911s don't get any better than this. Arguably, guns don't get any better than this, period--at least autos (see Smith LS, above, for revos).
- Revo: Ruger New Vaquero .44 Special, just intro'd. Workign man's version of the Colt above, but allowing full 6-up shooting and wouldn't mind (as much) knocking around with as a camper and trail'er.

My favorite is my Springfield 1911.
It feels good in my hand, offers good stopping power, and is very reliable. :)

Gotta be anything on the 1911 platform. Specifically, my Para Ordnance TAC-FOUR with the LDA trigger. It fits my hand, it points well, it shoots very accurately and it never fails to go bang when I pull the trigger. And I almost forgot, it holds 14 rounds of 45 ACP and that's all I have to say about that.

:D

My S&W Model 28-2. This was my first revolver (though not my first handgun) and I've yet to find another handgun that I can shoot as well. Picking up that big, old S&W is like shaking hands with an old friend.

I have two (yes, it's a dead tie). My newly acquired CZ 75B SA (I love that gun!!!) and my S & W Model 27-3 4" made back in '88. The experience of shooting these two is totally different but the fun factor is equal.

A Ruger MKII 22/45. Ruger sadly doesn't make them anymore. They caved in to Kalifornia and added the BS chamber indicator and magazine disconnect.

The second reason it's my favorite should be obvious.

I love shooting without earplugs.

On a MKIII the chamber indicator gets all gunked up from the extra blowback/water from the suppressor. (I shoot the can wet.)

My other favorite is a 7.5" Ruger Redhawk in .357 magnum. Ruger only made about 5,000 Redhawks in .357 and I have one of them. I shoot loads through that gun that will grenade a lesser .357. The extra weight soaks up the recoil.
