What is your dream revolver?

My latest wishlist gun is a 4" Ruger SP101 in 327 Federal Magnum. Lipsey's has indicated an interest, which is on hold until the Single Sevens are out, and the model proven to be a mover.

A Ruger Blackhawk stainless in .357. Just can't decide between the 4 5/8" or the 6" barrel.

I have always loved single action revolvers and its been on my list for a long time.

I have that gun in a blued 6" Sauer. If not a carry gun, I strongly suggest the 6" for a fun and satisfying range gun.

Getting my first and one of my dream revolvers soon. Might not be a dream for some, but it is for me; a Ruger 4" GP100. After that... a pre-Lawyer Lock S&W 686.

I own mine; A SS 10" barrel SBH .44 rem mag. This is my second one. My first one was blued. I had to sell it to finance my now ex wife through nursing school:(

So I was walking through my local gun shop 3 months ago and saw my dream Ruger sitting in the used gun case with a Burris scope on it. They wanted $550 and I talked them down to $450. I put an iron sight back on it and I plan on using it for this deer season. This revolver shoots very nice!

Both nice guns, but consider more depth in your collection before duplicating caliber, capacity, and barrel length.

One to consider if wanting to stay with 357, is the 60-15 Pro series, a 3" gun that is superb as a comfortable, easy to conceal belt carry.

-Open top frame
-Break-open SA/DA
->40cal magnum chambering (10mm to 44mag class) cut for moon clips
-Bottom firing barrel
-Sealed breech-firing
-Hammerless, Bisley-esque grip layout
-Autorevolver (likely gas operated)
-N-frame size or smaller
-Built strong enough to be flipped open/closed :D

As for real-world dream revolvers, I should be taking ownership of a 357 Mateba 6 Unica on the morrow; the first gun I ever wanted is at last mine. A repro Schofield is probably the next one on the list, or maybe a Manhurin MR 73 (if I'm gonna lust after something, it might as well be something nice ;))

Here is a 10" Freedom Arms 44 Magnum made for silhouette. 1990 vintage. A joy to shoot and superbly accurate. I have Smith 14's, 15's, and a 19 snubbie. I also put a snub barrel on a model 29-2. I have thought about looking for a used Freedom Arms in 357.

Smith may have just made it with the Model 69. I have yet to see or handle one.

A direct competitor with my 629 Mtn.

As a 5 shot, the 69 is a whole different gun and more appealing and practical to belt carry.

6" Colt Python in stainless. Would probably settle for a Colt Anaconda in a pinch. I was actually looking for the Anaconda, the Python I always considered out of reach.

My little "dream".

Sorry all you big bore boys but my dream is small: A Ruger Bearcat in a 9 shot model with birds head grip, all stainless and a 3 or 3 1/2" barrel.:D

Nice 4" 357. Check.
7.5" Ruger Blackhawk 45/45 convertable. Check.
Nice 3" 32 H&R magnum. Check.

Deadwood made me cry.

Colt New Service 45. :-(
Schofield 45. :-(
