What is your all time favorite "fun" caliber for the range?

45 Colt because I reload it from 185 to 325 grains for a half dozen different pistols. I also like the S&W 617 revolver that I have in .22 lr. Is a Ruger Charger a pistol or a rifle?

.32 H&R Magnum, specifically out of my Ruger Super Single Six. The brass lasts practically forever, and given that, with my home cast bullets, its no more expensive to shoot than .22LR.

9mm for quick follow-up shots and serious target shooting.

I don't actually own a .44 mag, but I shot a .44 Super Redhawk once and it was most exhilarating. I'm a recoil junkie.

got a couple ( variety is the spice of life )

medium bore 32 S&W handloads out of top break revolvers

big bore... 50 A.E out of my Automag 5... nothing puts a smile on the face of someone who loves magnums more that the 50 A.E. out of the lightest weight auto... KABOOM BIG FIRE :D

BTW... the 5 shot "50" revolver is really fun to shoot as well... more of a push, & less fireworks & concussion though

thought I'd add some pics...

.38 Special. Probably loaded more of these that all other

calibers I ever had. Still love to shoot them - very accurate out of any decent revolver.

Full load 357

Just got the 357 and it goes BOOM quite well. This might be my most fun but for all around number of rounds fired target and plinking - 22.
Got to go to the range tomorrow!

I shoot more 9mm than anything else hands down. It has a good recoil and doesn't cost as much as 45 ACP ammo does.

I just think it's a great all around round, it does so many different things well.

I just like to mix it up. Plink with the various 9mm, blast away with my 45 then try and hit something at 400 yards with my Garand. The Saiga gets some love too, just not that much as I don't reload for it.:p
