What Handgun Have You Had The Longest

The first gun I ever bought with my own money was an S&W Model 28 Highway Patrolman 357 Magnum in the mid 80s from the late, lamented San Francisco Gun Exchange.

I don't remember.

I started buying around 2001. I don't know which of 3 was first. All within 4 months of each other.

Ruger 22/45 mark II 5.5"target model bull barrel.
Ruger kp97dc
Sistema modelo 1927 (1911), which is unrecognizable today due to my gunsmithing.

About thirty five years with this M29.

Taurus PT92.

Purchased in 1991 after I turned 21, at the time I couldn't afford the Beretta 92, which I bought a couple years later.

Colt Frontier Scout bought in 1963 worked and save for 2 years for my grand father. It took another 2 months to get the gun belt/holster I wanted

Old fart on board!

My first handgun was bought in 1972 and was a Series 70 Colt Gold Cup Match. I still have the receipt (and the pistol) and the price was $211 brand new. Just a slight increase in price since then.
