What firearm do you open carry?

I have and do open carry these pretty regularly:

M&P40 Pro Series
M&P Shield 9mm
Ruger SP101 3" .357 Mag
SA 1911 Custom 5"

Here's a question for ya, what finish is best for a BBQ gun? I OWB openly with a CZ75BD inside and around my home, but I don't take it out "in public" as its a black semi auto and I live in an area that might not go over well.

But a nice stainless 6+ inch Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44mag sounds pretty attractive for BBQ/Public Carry. I also have a friend with a 6" chiappa rhino in an anodized golden finish, which I like. A rainbow wash or bluing have some appeal too.

My next is gonna be a BBQ wheelgun for sure.

I generally OC in the woods, then its dependant on what im doing and what might be around. Usually a .357 mag (Ruger Vaquero or GP100), .45 (Glock 21, Kimber Warrior or Ruger SR1911 CMD), once I get more rounds in it my RIA Tactical 10mm will be my primary woods gun.

For regular public? To and from work Ill occasionally not wear my jacket and essencially OC my EDC (CZ P-07 or Glock 19 mostly).

Were I to have a BBQ to go to wherein I wanted a BBQ gun, Id pick my Vaquero in .357, and my wife could match with hers... she'd love that. Id need some fancy new grips and leather though.

I open carry an Ithaca 37 or a sporterized Mauser 96. It's in the open, and I carry them (usually not at the same time) in my hands, so they are "open carried".:p

Of my 5 handguns, I only have holsters for open carry for two. It is either my Rough Rider "cowboy" revolver when I play cowboy with my Henry Lever Action rifle or my 38 Special police revolver.

At various times, and situations during firearms, and alternate method deer season.
Ruger Super Blackhawk in a Uncle Mike's Sidekick Vertical Shoulder Holster
Glock 20sf in a Fobus Kydex paddle holster.
Thompson Center Contender in a bandoleer holster.
Taurus Judge Public Defender Poly in a cheap, $8.00 Crosman Airsoft holster from Wallyworld. Loaded with #7 1/2 shot for self defense........against Copperheads while mushroom hunting, and BlackBerry picking.
I have walked into convenience stores, bait shops, etc with any except the Contender or Ruger without a second glance. But "advertising" to a potential attacker that I am armed in not my choice.

I carry a Single Six on the deer lease. If Texas ever approves open carry I have a lightweight Commander and a 2-1/2" 19 that will do.

Kinggabby. I know you asked us to simply tell what gun we open carry with... but there is so much more to it then that. Most of us are not police officers who only open carry one gun. We have multiple guns that we open carry and what we are carrying often depends on where we are and what we are doing.

May I ask why you chose to open carry a Glock 30sf, also, is that the only handgun you open carry?

Because it is the only one I have. And people don't have to make a mountain out of a mole hill. Don't need to over think it. There is not more to it. Simple question does not require a life story.

Ultra high polished nickel with lots of gold inlaid engraving, and gold plated accents like hammer, trigger, etc. :D
Of course in a beautifully tooled custom leather holster rig with polished Sterling silver, and 18k gold accents.
If ya gonna do it, do it to the MAX!!
But of course the gun I carry to a BBQ, fish fry, picnic, or whatever is a well worn, and well concealed, reliable Ruger LCP.
Don't feel I need to show a gun for status or machismo. :D

Because it is the only one I have
But a quick look at Crossbreed, Theis, Galco, and Alien Gear all show IWB holsters offered for the Glock 30SF. With just a quick look at these makers, I would think almost all offer conceivable holsters for this gun.
That's if you want to try to keep your gun discretely out of sight.

I prefer open carry. That is why I started a thread on open carry. I do not wish to be told how to carry. If you want to conceal then conceal. But don't be a jerk and jump on my thread.

That's true. Just dont tell that to my girlfriend.

For the sake of your thread, here is another one...

Glock 35 Gen 4 in a Safariland holster with 3 extra 22 round magazines. Contemplating getting a 6 inch lone wolf barrel in 357 sig for it.:)

629-1 .44 magnum.

OP, this is not YOUR THREAD. This discussion belongs these forums, made up of all that participate here -- of which you are but a miniscule blip.

I am doing my job. I'm watching this thread, and seeing one person getting into a snit because he doesn't like some of the answers he's getting.

Chill out, and pass by the ones you don't like.

And simmer down.
